Very rarely do I feel compelled to do a review on Google but my experience @ the Pasta Grill made me feel obligated to do so.
The restaurant is in a nice little part of town that seems like a quaint piece of paradise in an almost historic but modern setting. Very nice!
I had a very nice and attentive server named Riley B. She was great and well appreciated.
Sadly, the food was a big disappointment. I got the Pick 2 (or 3) combo where I chose Lasagna and Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo and I added aside Ceasar salad. The Salad wasn't bad at all. It was pretty decent actually.
As I was about Halfway done with the salad or a little more, Riley was gracious enough to bring my main course. The plate was Very Hot as I believe Riley told me to be careful. I quickly tried to finish my salad to enjoy the main course! I started with the Lasagna. It was ok but obviously was taken out of the refrigerator and thrown on the plate like a brick. I get it. It is Lasagna and I don't expect 7 batches of Lasagna to be made during a dinner service or a day for that matter but I don't really expect a dry and stiff slab of Lasagna taken out of the Refrigerator and be thrown on a plate and into the oven to dry out some more. After the oven it seemed like it was doused with a pleasant seemingly fresh meat sauce , but alas, the damage was already done.
After several bites of the lackluster Lasagna, I moved onto the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo with great hope and anticipation. My hopes were quickly replaced with amazing disappointment. Now I cannot be 100% sure but this is how it appeared to me.
Likely the pasta and chicken was pre cooked and came from the same or similar refrigerator. I am not sure if the Alfredo sauce also came from the same refrigerator or if it was added after the reheated chicken and pasta but I would almost lean that way but can see the possibility it may have been heated in a pot or pan and dumped on after the reheating process. It is also a slight possibility it was sorta made fresh and added after the chicken/pasta oven adventure though I feel in my heart that is quite an ambitious thought.
The flavors of the food were relatively good but I was very surprised and disappointed it was mostly just reheated leftovers.
The Garlic Bread and red sauce was amazing!
Sorry for my editorialistic review and stringy sentences but this was my experience and I felt people may appreciate...
Read moreTLDR; Mike is extremely rude when speaking to customers AND staff. He will make you feel unwelcome and uncomfortable in order to get you out of the restaurant as quickly as possible. I have been a patron of Pasta Grill for years but after tonight's experience, I don't think I will be returning. Mike spoiled my sister's birthday dinner. My party and I arrived ten minutes before our set reservation time. He set the tone for this visit by informing us that he had another party reserved for our table approximately 90 minutes after us. After being seated, this man continually and periodically glared at our table, standing menacingly from the doorway that separates the front dining hall from the back dining room. When we were closing our checks and getting our leftovers packaged into to-go boxes, AGAIN, Mike came over to our table and curtly said, "You guys know I have a reservation coming in soon." I have never experienced such rude behavior at this establishment before and frankly, it makes me never want to return. I will be sure to tell two friends, who will tell two friends, who will tell two friends about my experience. The food was great; The servers were stellar; however, one individual's actions has left a bad taste in my mouth. My sister is an employee of Pasta Grill and I am appalled that he would speak to his staff like this, let alone PAYING CUSTOMERS. Really hope you let that guy go because he will continue to rub customers the wrong way if he doesn't learn some manners. It's not my fault that he promised the table to someone else when we reserved the table, several days ahead of time and for a special occasion to celebrate - my...
Read moreWe visited on Feb13th for our Valentine's dinner. I was so excited to finally be going to this restaurant. I had heard wonderful reviews and couldn't wait to try. My husband had stopped by the restuarant to make a 7 o'clock reservation and they asked him for his preferred seating and he told them a booth. We checked in when we arrived and were promptly greeted by the hostess. In just a few minutes she said our table was ready and she escorted us to the very back of the restuarant near the emergency door. My husband asked about the both seating and he wad informed that one wasn't available right now. I was a little cautious since it was so cold outside but I figured no one would be going out the door. Not 5 minutes later a waitress opened the door to show a customer the outside seating. She stood there with the door open for several minutes letting the 28 degree wind blow in on us. I couldn't believe it. I never did warm back up and ended up eating dinner with my coat on. When the waitress came to take our order I asked her about the bone in pork chop. She was ill informed and couldn't tell me anything about the dish. My husband ordered the scallops and pasta and was disappointed to find only 5 quarter sized scallops.
We found the food to be good but was so disappointed in our dining experience. We were under the impression that this was a fine dining experience and it was...
