Ate drive in service Wednesday evening got there at 730. Ordered coney dogs French fries mushrooms and a large root beer. Coney dogs had no steamed bun, no onions no mustard. Basically chili dogs. Both orders of fries were cold! Almost sent them back but we had the dog with us so he ate them. At 801 pm one minute after they close the server came and asked for our tray because it was closing time and they wanted to wash them. We still had half a large mug of root beer and two chili dogs to eat. The server gave us a dirty look and said we close at 8 and need to get out of here. We took the hot dogs off the tray and I asked for the root beer to be put in a Togo cup. Sorry we don’t do that. When I raised my voice an employee from behind the counter said they would do that. The server was put in a bad spot didn’t want to be rude but it’s ridiculous that they asked for the tray before we were done. There were 5 other cars still at this place at 801. The food and service were awful and I would give zero stars if I could. We will not go back and I will never recommend this place to anyone! There are better drive in restaurants...
Read moreWe stopped for a light snack as we were driving around Van Wert Ohio. We were seeing Chapel Hart's concert that same evening. The fried cheese curds were the best I have EVER had. As well as the Rootbeer. They make their own and we shared one since they were out of the diet version. It was the BEST Rootbeer too. Many Rootbeer syrups don't have a complexity of flavors but this little drive-in had a great syrup and many different flavors came through on theirs. If you have ever had and loved "Birch Beer" or "Sassperilla" or even other great Rootbeer like IBC or Spechler's then you would like this place. The prices were beyond reasonable and they do things the old way. The price point was extremely reasonable as the order of a medium Rootbeer and an order of fried cheese curds cost as no more than $10.
Hope you give them a try. ~Brightest...
Read moreVery poorly run. They refused to take my order 10 min before closing time. If you own a restaurant, you are supposed to take orders up to 1 minute before close. At least that's how every single restaurant I've ever worked at seemed to run things. B and K employees are obviously lazy and care more about the end of their shift than keeping business bc they arent getting my 50 dollar orders anymore. If you read this b and k, teach your employees that you dont stop taking orders 10 min before close...that is, unless you dont care about business or customers either. Again, worst customer service I've ever...
