Rainbow Garden — Restaurant in Vanceboro

I wanted to share my recent experience at your restaurant. My husband and I had leftover sauce that we hoped to take home, but we were informed that we would need to pay $1.75 for the partially used sauce. We requested extra sauce because our order of champagne chicken was quite dry, with only a minimal drizzle of sauce.

Additionally, I was disappointed to find that the food did not taste fresh, even though the restaurant had only been open for about thirty minutes. As someone who has been a loyal customer for many years, I am saddened to see the decline in quality. I truly hope for improvements, although I probably won’t support this establishment any longer.

The teenage boy there is super rude and doesn't know what he is doing. The "chef" wasn't in the kitchen, but you're taking orders? Then take a payment and wait until after to disclose that it will be another 10 to 15 minutes after 17 have already passed? No thanks. Then wants to have an attitude when you ask for a refund. Fast, hot, fresh and delicious! Ordered the sesame chicken w/pork fried rice lunch special, bbq spare ribs w/pork fried rice combination (comes with an egg roll) and an order of fried chicken wings (4 whole/connected wings) It came to $23 and could easily feed 3, maybe 4 people. I may be bias, because I eat here when I get Chinese (maybe twice a month) but I choose to come here (Vanceboro) as opposed to anywhere in New Bern.
