I'm a truck driver, so I eat at Denny's a lot, and I've never really had an issue with them before tonight. I placed an order for chicken tenders, and mozzarella sticks. The order was for a total of $10.50. No problems there. I paid, and got my food. When I returned to the truck to eat, however, I was a bit disappointed with what I was seeing. Instead of chicken tenders, I basically had chicke nuggets. The mozzarella sticks were lacking in numbers as well. Instead of 8, I had received four. I returned to Dennys, and explained the situation. Let me get one thing straight here, if I was basing my review on the host, the guy in front, and no one else, I would give 5 stars. He was very nice, and very helpful. But sadly, that isn't the case. As he went back to explain to the cook what had happened, the cook became furious. He basically claimed that I was lying, even though I had brought the order back. The whole time he was preparing the order, he complained, loudly, in a basically empty resturant, like he wanted me to hear. I don't know what the issue was. I didn't come in angry, I had calmly explained the situation. The order was messed up, it wasn't my fault. I already had a terrible day, and now to top it off, I get to end it by being upset, and embarrassed. Now, instead of eating, I get to stare at my food, and wonder if the enraged cook did something bad to it. Because, in all honesty, he seemed like the type of person to do that. Read more⭐️ 🌟 ⭐️ Beth is definitely the star at this Denny's. She is so amazing with customers coming in and making people feel welcome. My husband is an over the road truck driver, we go to a lot of different Denny's throughout the nation and this one definitely is a must to go to😃 We sat at the counter and were waited on promptly. Beth is very kind & a great waitress. The girls that were working with Beth seemed to really enjoy working together, kidding that they all take turns being "a bad Apple" 🍏 that was funny. They kept busy still able to have fun doing it. We were able to meet the higher up manager as well when she came in. She was also very pleasant to speak with, and spoke highly of her team, including Beth, saying she has helped keep this restaurant going so good! I thought that was very kind of her. Since a lot of other managers seem to brush off different things because they're always so busy. It was nice this manager actually took the time to acknowledge her crew that she has here. 😊 the cooks definitely need some credit. A few guys we saw working out back. Everything looked clean as well and our brisket sandwiches that we got were amazing. Read moreThe food was awful, the pancakes uncooked in the center, the eggs didn't agree with my husband's tummy and made him sick. They took a long time to serve to boot (our waitress was nice, though, that must be said too). The skinny cashier was very rude. I have a debit international card WITH MONEY IN IT but it sometimes has to be run 2 or even 3 times to go through because duh, it's an international debit card. Of course the card didn't go through the first time. The cashier rudely refused to run it a second time. An angel of a lady, and lady, if you are reading this post I want to say thank you again and please know you will be forever in my prayers, well this angel of a lady stepped in and paid for our food, although her card did not go through a first or second time either. Very disappointed, especially in the wake of eating at the Bernalillo, New Mexico Denny's, where the food and the service were both outstanding (Vandalia Denny's, you can learn a thing or two from them).
