Cork Pine Eatery & Saloon — Restaurant in Vassar

We tried this place for the first time. All tables were dirty, and we almost turned around and walked out. We had driven a ways to try this restaurant because many reviews were good, so we found a table which they wiped off for us and ordered burgers and fries. My friends fries were strangely dark colored and tasted odd. I had ordered fries with my burger, but they gave me chips so I asked for the fries that I had ordered to begin with. My fries were cooked to order and normal colored and tasted like average fries. The burgers were not very good, and we only ate half or less of each. Service was just uncaring and slow. Early the following morning, my friend became nauseous and had horrible stomach pain and issues all day. We suspect his fries were left over and re-cooked in grease before serving, and that bacteria had grown on them in the interim. We do not recommend this place and will...

Went on tues night for taco tues special been going there for years the food is great but service last night was beyond horrible took 15 min to get waited on both waitresses were rude(ok I know it was busy) but no reason to be rude..every time we tried to get her attention she said in a minute or hang on I'll be right back..it took 30min to get tacos..that's all we ordered.the bill was 17.00 but she charged us 38.00! When my husband tried to get it corrected they just rolled their eyes and brushed us off..guess they don't know how to add either..that reflected in her tip..maybe it was an off night but I think we will go elsewhere until they get new people to...

Ordered to go. Got a mushroom Swiss burger, half pound. Got onion rings with it. I only have 2 complaints, first, burgers come with fries. I don't eat a burger and wish I had chips with it. Fries should be a standard with burgers, the upcharge from chips to fries was $2. Considering the cost of a bag of chips, a medium sized side of fries should not be around $3. My second complaint, and really the big one, is that it was white cheddar on my burger. Not Swiss. However, the food was really great.
