I love this place, my family has gone here since I was a child. We dont eat out much, but make it a point to get this at least once a month, the food is always delicious and despite my Grandma and Mom being super picky they always accommodate with a large smile and have never messed up an order.
It was natural for us when we decided not to cook Christmas dinner to go here not knowing how packed it would be.
Out of their control a party was still there through our reservation. They quickly made up a make shift set up and apologized.
Not upset, just knowing my Mom and Grandma would be upset and not eat (and ruin it for the rest of us) I gathered our party and left last night. I understood, was never upset, and would have gladly waited if it were just my husband and kids.
So imagine our surprise when an hour later we got a call and apology from the manager? Owner? My husband took the call.
To me it was never their fault, i felt bad for leaving, but as always these wonderful people reached out to a single customer. That shows so much pride and dedication in their business, and was one of the greatest things they could of done.
So yes if you want delicious food and wonderful...
Read moreWhen I say we've been coming to this restaurant for years... I mean 15+ years! We started coming when a guy named Roger owned it and then Margaret and her husband bought it from him. We come here for every special occasion: Mother's day, Father's day, birthdays, anniversaries, etc you name it. They cook genuine Chinese cuisine. Margaret is an amazing chef and everything she serves us you can tell was made with love. We usually order the same things : chili wontons, steamed fish with ginger /scallions, eggplant with ground pork, extra crispy orange beef, pan fried three flavor noodles, green beans, honey walnut or fried whole shrimp, and sometimes when it's really special.. We get the Peking duck. For some reason I've never left a review and maybe that's just because I'm lazy. But Margaret does such an amazing job cooking up the best Chinese cuisine, her restaurant is always busy! She knows my family and always makes sure she comes to our table to say hi. Sometimes she'll even send us a freshly made plate of her sesame red bean balls for dessert! I'll always continue to come here because there just isn't any other Chinese restaurant as authentic and delicious as hers in the...
Read moreMe and my BF are regulars here, or at least we used to be, we takeout order AT LEAST once a week if not twice a week. We usually get a really simple order, fried rice sub egg for tofu and some egg rolls. In the past this was our FAVORITE Chinese place within the surrounding towns. But lately, the past 5 times, the fried rice has been super bland and tastes like it was reheated after being uncovered in a refrigerator all night with limited veggies. It used to taste flavorful and nutty, but now it's just beyond bland, has a leftover taste and a seriously smushy texture unlike normal fried rice. Also, recently our order is randomly $10 more expensive than usual! I think they might have hired some new staff that doesn't know how to input orders with substitutions which is why I get charged $10 more for the same order on some days. I have no idea why the food quality has declined so greatly. I have been trying to give this place the benefit of the doubt, as I usually love eating here. But after 5 times, week after week, of getting bad food and having it be $10 more expensive than usual, I feel like we need to find a new place to get our...
