Valentino's Take & Bake Pizza — Restaurant in Ventura

Kind of a bummer -trying to support our food joints during the pandemic. Tried to call at about 7:45 to get a pizza to pick up before advertised 8pm closing. After several attempts someone finally picked up our call and let us know that because they were slow they had already put things away including the pizza dough, and told us specifically that is why they hadn't picked up our call. While on the phone we pulled up to the store with lights on and the open sign still on with 10 minutes still remaining until closing time. Still turned away. I've worked in the food industry and last minute walk ins are always a bummer, but my experience of good customer service is you remain open and hospitable to customers for as long as you say you're open. If you want to leave at 8, tell the public you're closed at 7:30 - on a Saturday night. For a pizza place. Headed...

Horrible; this is not a Pizzeria here or anywhere. I've ordered a Spaghetti with Meatballs, what I got was round aluminum foil container that was on the display cooler with Two big meatballs that were heated on a toaster over, that besides being cold on the inside tasted horribly and rotten, absolutely uneatable. I went back to the counter and told them what the issue was and since I was on lunch, I requested the order be changed to Two slices of Pepperoni Pizza instead, what I got in return was a slice of Cheese and a slice of Pepperoni Pizzas that were in the warmer since I don't know when, I wanted to eat them but couldn't, the sauce was horrible, tasted as if was bought at local grocery store, way to much Oregano flavor which over-powered...

Update! A little communication with the powers that be...turns out that new employees finding there feet? Probably taught to skimp toppings from previous employment. Gave them a second chance and they got their stars back. Will add a star in a few if this excellence keeps up!

What happened!! I've been enjoying and eating this once upon a time most excellent take and bake pizza for many many Years! But what! Last night's pizza not only was wrong but so so skimpy! The toppings were so small and pathetic it looked only marginally better than pizza hut or dominos. I paid about $60 for 3 pizza so I'd expect to walk away with something a bit better than what I expect from the frozen food isle for $10! Please go back to the way things...
