I'm absolutely not one to write a review but my experience today at 3 Sqaures Cafe warrants attention. Grabbed a take out lunch at three squares, friendly service but our food never came up, we waited 30 minutes before anyone said anything to us. We asked how much longer it would be, because we were told 10 minutes when ordering. The ticket for our food had clearly been lost and we could hear the kitchen staff yelling at the front of house about it. We were told 5 more minutes, the kitchen started making our food and rushed it, the chicken tostada was just thrown into a to go box with a tortilla underneath and it was sopping wet. Completely inedible. We were in a rush to get to an appointment but we turned around to try and get a refund because it was so poorly made. When I was trying to get the staffs attention, the cook who made the food barked at me "what does this guy want", I asked if the food could be remade or just put into a wrap and was told that it was a bad idea to order this menu item as take out. I watched the bearded cook with glasses yell at the front of house staff then openly talk about me to the kitchen staff while I was standing right next to the food window. Other than this man, all the staff delivered great service and the meal turned out fine. This employee did not foster a professional or welcoming environment and we will not be returning...

My food was good except they didn't have all the ingredients so they needed to substitute the meat in there with a different type of meat okay no problem that happens but the sign on the post when you walk in the door says that come to the counter order and leave the rest to us.... So we did as we were told by the sign we sat at the table waited for our stuff after my drink came my friends drink did not and then when they bring our food out and set it down I asked about my water and my friends drink and she looked at me with a confused look on her face and said the water is over there in the coke is in the cooler and then turn around and walked away. We have never been here before I have never been in Vermont before Buffalo New York or anywhere else in this area I was doing what I was told by their sign... Try not to treat all your customers this way I'm sure you get other out-of-town customers that have never been there do you treat them all that way that sign and let them know at the register that the water is over there in the cooler for your Coke is over there... common courtesy and kindness never hurts especially in a tip...

3 Squares catered our wedding this summer at the Monitor Barn in Richmond. They were the first and only caterer that we met with - we knew after sitting down to talk with them that they could achieve our vision of casual (for a wedding) food at a price that we could afford. We were 100% satisfied by our experience and in fact kind of blown away by the level of professionalism exhibited by their staff the day of the wedding. The food was amazing, everyone raved about it (P.S - Short-rib nachos. Do it.) and I just really felt like they had everything fully under control. When you show up at your own wedding, having DIYed almost all aspects of the experience (with the exception of caterer, bar & photog), you are really just crossing your fingers that everything comes together. Thankfully for us everything worked out wonderfully, in no small part due to 3 Square's' part of our day. My only regret is not having eaten more. Thank you Matt, Danelle, Sophia and the rest of the 3...

Great local spot for breakfast, lunch or casual dinner. Order at the counter and they bring it to your table. For breakfast, 3 squares excels in the French toast and pancake department, and they serve breakfast till 3. Pretty sure this is the only real breakfast spot in town; some other places only do brunch on weekends from about 10:30 on so for early birds 3 squares is the answer. The coffee is also good here. They make a great sandwich, soup or salad for lunch. If you order something on focaccia, prepare for it to be very thick cut. For dinner, try the fennel sausage pasta in a tomato cream sauce; it is delicious. They also have a dessert case and beer (bottles/cans) and wine.

We randomly stopped here on our way to NY state after visiting Shelburne VT. It was really cute. We were having a late lunch and traveling with our granddaughter. There was something on the menu that appealed to each of us. The sandwiches came with a small mixed green salad with an absolutely wonderful maple vinaigrette. Fries were also an option which my grand daughter chose. We all very much enjoyed our lunches. They decor was very cute. You could sit at a table or window seats looking out at the road. Good was ordered at the counter and delivered to your table with cute signage so they could bring food to your table. This was a great find on our day trip!!

This restaurant was amazing for the kids and adults in our group. Lunches were prepared with precision and care. I enjoyed the buttermilk chicken fried sandwich but the big story was the french toast. Simply the best french toast any of us had seen or tasted. Challah bread as a base and topped with a variety of fresh fruit and delicious cream. Best ever! My party of 6 loved every bite! Get there early as I dont think they are open for dinner.
