Was Trying to decide on what we wanted to eat. Then it hit me. Why not try that new to us but old to everyone else soulfood place called Craig's Kitchen. Best decision we made that day. They have been around for about 6 years but I came across it on Facebook within the last few weeks. We ordered Bbq Ribs with Collard Greens, Mac & Cheese, Smothered Chicken, Bbq Chicken with Rice, Mac & Cheese and Corn. For dessert there was Peach Cobbler and Chocolate Cake. Overall, the food was delicious and very filling. However, let me tell you about the Peach Cobbler. That was my very FRIST time trying it, and it changed my life as that will not be my last. The potion sizes were very generous and we had leftovers. It tasted even better a day later. The meals also came with Cornbread Poppers as I called them and Coleslaw. Apparently. Potatoes salad was also purchased but I got none. It's located in the center of or downtown Vernon-Rockville. We went at night time so I really could describe the area that well. However, the restaurant is ground level so wheelchair accessible. They do have an inside seating area that has a lot of potential. The own and the person working with him were very friendly and kind. They make their own drinks that looked delicious and colorful. It's about a 20 mins or so drive from the current area we were at. Overall, a great experience and we will be going back. As we were not disappointed. Other customers were talking about how good the food was and they weren't lying.

This is someplace worth making the trip for. Step through the doors into an American diner styled paste white interior with minimal decor. You're served with plastic cutlery and fork, on a paper plate. Absolutely everything about the appearance is dull and unassuming. Maybe that's intentional too, because the food is far and beyond the best I've eaten of the style, and the environment allows you to focus on nothing but the amazing food coming out of the kitchen. The soul food isn't just decadent and warming, it's detailed and masterfully seasoned. Even the lighter options like the grilled chicken wrap I had was thoughtfully seasoned and balanced by just the right additions of cheese, spinach, and a sweet balsamic. Our first trip will certainly not be our last.

I’ve seen this place many times, it looks so small so really never thought to check it out. But when I seen that they have inside seating and it happened to be raining out. WHY NOT? So we stopped over to this place to see what it was hitten for. As soon as you walk in all you hear is welcome to craigs Kitchen and old-school R&B music playing in the background a couple of nice guys in the front with great sense of humor everybody smiling it was just a happy experience upon entering into the front door. The food was fresh and hot, the oxtail and gravy is a must try.
