Bendy's Cookies & Cream — Restaurant in Vestavia Hills

A waste of time! A 45 minute drive for nothing!!

Cookies are amazing and we have followed Ben and Wendy all over town for the last 3 years; We have driven 45 minutes up to an hour & 1/2 away at times to get our fix of these small delights.

We have visited Bendy’s 10 or more times in the last 3 months and every visit to the store front has been a disappointment! Hence why I writing the review today ! Today is our last day making the 45 minute trek from ODENVILLE TO CAHABA just for Bendy’s!

In 10 or so visits, same as today there has not been a single chocolate chip, snicker doodle, or triple chocolate cookie...

On several occasions I was told that cookies would not be put in the oven for another 30 minutes and the tray is already empty!

Other times we went the extra effort to chase down the food truck in opposite direction!

I have been told that cookies wouldn’t be available for certain hour of the day!

At this point unless you want a sprinkled sugar cookie and or ice cream this your place !

I was excited to go to Bendy’s because I’m not a local. I read the reviews and really wanted to try the snickerdoodles. I go in and was not acknowledged. Then two other customers come in after me and they were greeted and placed their order. Meanwhile, I’m standing there and waited patiently. The kid didn’t even look at me or said anything while he rang the other customers up. The second kid came over and took my order.(no apologies). He then said that it would be 15 minutes before the snickerdoodles would be done. I went ahead and paid and waited in my car in front of the store . I come in 15minutes later only to be told that they sold the cookies to two men that came in. I honestly thought he was kidding, in fact I even asked him if he was joking. Nope. Had he maybe stayed off his phone for a bit,he might not have forgotten about my order. Needless to say it was very disappointing. I ended up getting chocolate chip and gave it to my kid. I am a local property owner in the area and have been patronizing this store for about a year. Here is my honest evaluation of it:

Bendy's has a good product and a good value for the money but that is about it. I rated the store and overall experience a two star because of management. The problem with Bendy's is the owners are completely absentee and have a bunch of high schoolers running the store for them unsupervised. The staff is too young and too immature to provide a pleasurable experience without adult supervision. Many times I have gone to the store I have felt unwelcomed, unappreciated and was treated with a lack of courtesy and respect. Hopefully the owners will rethink what...
