After avoiding this restaurant for 6 months due to exceptionally bad service I decided to come back and try the service. I came to the restaurant about twice a week for a few weeks and everything seemed to be a lot better and there were different employees working there. Today I went to the restaurant and placed two separate take out orders for people other than myself. When a female employee who later identified herself as the manager handed me the first order which she had described by items inside I took it to the table and while waiting for the second order had noticed that the box inside the bag identified the pie as an apple pie despite me ordering a strawberry pie and the lady verbally identifying the items in the bag including the strawberry pie. I walked up to the counter and spoke to the woman and showed her the box and she acknowledged it and said that they were out of strawberry pies. I then asked her why did she not tell me that and why did she hand me a bag with an incorrect item inside. The woman tried to avoid answering the question and giving me other options yet I persevered and she never would give me a final answer since the item was for someone who was not present I would have had to ask that individual in advance of completing the order. Whenever she placed a second bag up on the counter and made eye contact with me I took the order went out to my vehicle and then noticed that the item in the bag was not what I had ordered. I went back in the store and identified the incorrect item and she told me despite looking me in the eyes she said I took another customer's bag (please note I was the only customer waiting on an order in the lobby at the time) I told her all these shenanigans are highly and professional. During the time that she was preparing orders she was talking as if she was on a telephone with someone and was not paying attention to where she was walking or what she was doing. If this individual is the manager I can imagine what kind of performance the staff have. There needs to be oversight at this restaurant by the franchise operator. I will now avoid this restaurant for...
Read moreI am so frustrated. I ran through the drive-thru at lunch and ordered a Qtr. Pounder with Cheese Meal. I asked for ketchup and salt with my order. I drove off and realized my fries were half full, they had zero salt on them and I had only been given 2 ketchups for large fries. I was pissed since it was almost $12! My dad called me and wanted some food so I go right back to get him some food and decide I will mention this about my fries when I place the order for my father. I ordered his combo meal and ordered another LARGE fry since my others had come half full (I can always eat extra fries). I mention this at the window and show her but the girl doesn't even understand much English. So I give up and begin to leave with my 2nd order when I realize that my new order didn't have the extra order of fries in it. So I have to stop and get out to walk back to the drive thru window. I tell her that I am still missing my fries. That is when she just grabs and swaps my bag with another one because she had messed up my order. I try to discuss what I now had with her but she is so frazzled. So had I not gotten out and mentioned my $3.99 fries were missing, I would have drove off with the complete wrong order before. I grab it and get back in my car only to find that the fries are half full AGAIN and half cooked this time. And then when I get back to my office to eat, I bite into my Qtr. Cheeseburger to find it is very pink. I cannot eat it for fear of getting ecoli. When my dad opens his double fish filet box, we see that the buns have now been downsized to half the size they normally are. They honestly looked like little mini buns. This is ridiculous. I just spent over $25 and didn't get a full order correct. Prices go up and the quality, service and amounts go down. I'm about done with any food...
Read moreUpdate : Tonight at McDonald’s the woman at the window was so rude. She did not get the order right; I had to ask for a receipt. When I got the receipt, I saw she charged me for a Donation. I don’t mind giving a donation when I am asked; however, I was not asked if I wanted to make a donation. Her pink hair and her very, very long pink fingernails with items glued on top of them did not make it easy for her to handle the food or even to hand it to me through the drive-through window. These issues need to be addressed.
I frequent this McDonalds at least once a week with my grandson. Yesterday I had my daughter with me, after she left Brookwood Hospital. The employees are so pleasant, especially Pam!! The food is always hot and my order has never been incorrect. Yesterday I met the owner, Jami, who introduced herself as she brought our food to our car. I highly recommend this McDonalds over any in Homewood!
Another visit:
I visited my favorite McDonalds today and was VERY DISAPPOINTED!! The service was terrible in the drivethru. When my grandson and I got home we saw my hamburger was PLAIN, French fries had no salt and were cold! We did not have any napkins, he received a blonde Barbie after I said he was a boy!! The girl at the window has no personality!! She acted like it was an effort to give us our food! I hope the owner reads this, because this is not up to my...
