Goldie's Trail Bar-B-Que — Restaurant in Vicksburg

I recently had a very disappointing experience at Goldie’s Express on Pemberton Blvd. I ordered the bbq pull pork sandwich platter with fries and red beans and rice (like I always do) but when my food arrived, it was completely wrong. I politely pointed out the mistake to the cashier, but instead of fixing the order, she insisted I ordered bbq beans instead of fries. Then I was told I had to pay extra to get the correct meal. This was their error, yet they were unwilling to fix the issue and told me I can call in the morning to complain to Gary (the manager) if I wished. The staff stated that there was nothing they could do to correct my order and that it was my fault for not catching it prior to payment. I ended up leaving without getting what I originally ordered. I would not recommend this place to anyone who expects decent service or a basic level of customer care. I want to lead by saying I for about two years now enjoyed going to this place on Fridays for lunch until today. Today, while out with coworkers I ordered the catfish lunch. From past visits there was a period between 12-2pm where you could request more catfish before the time ran out on Fridays. Today, I asked my server for more fish and she said it would be $2 extra per piece. I proceeded to ask when did it change with the catfish and she rudely told me that they have never had this deal ever at this establishment. I did not appreciate this type of treatment. I proceeded to ask another employee and then she proceeded to lie about it as well. I have been to this restaurant on several of occasions where they in fact gave me more catfish on Fridays between the hours of 12-2pm. It was not about the fact that this deal changed but what I do not appreciate is for anyone to tell me I am incorrect when I know for a fact that I am correct. So, we were spending the day in Vicksburg and decided to give this place a go. The food is good. I held off at four stars because there was nothing outstanding however, no complaints either. My lovely bride had the country fried steak with white gravy and I had the all you can eat ribs special. The service was very fast and we had our food in front of us in record time. The ribs had a good flavor, a nice hint of smoked wood and we're not overly dry. You have your choice of wet or dry ribs. I tried them both and, while I normally go for the dry ribs, I think the wet ones at this restaurant were better. If you stop by, be sure to try them both. The service was quick and they were very attentive, keeping our tea glasses full and inquiring at the right intervals. The coleslaw, which I tend to be very picky about, was good to go.
