I'm from Houston TX definitely know my Mexican food! I have never had Mexican food that was at least decent I other states. But this place was great! I would definitely recommend to anyone passing through or visiting. I got the Chimichangas which Ive tried a few in different places it's not a regular Mexican dish but it's a go to and I wasn't disappointed. I'm not much of a fried bean person but they were great. Check them out and they were really nice! Big inside and pretty.

I wasn't too hungry when I visited, I was just looking for some place to hang out, have some drinks and eating something small. I had a good time, the place is big and even has a patio outside. My fish tacos where tasty and the service from Ruben at the bar was great, it was almost empty when I came but it was relatively busy when I left around diner time, I'll visit again.

Gi-normous margaritas, excellent food and plenty of space makes Rey Azteca a great place to share a meal with friends or family. The fried quail are exceptional, burritos generous and tasty and the service is good.

UPDATE: I Have tried this place multiple times to give them the benefit of the doubt but its always the same results (Read Below)

I will never eat here again not sure where people are eating and leaving good feedback at because I have tried this nasty place multiple times and it takes forever sometimes to get seated we cant get waited on so forget trying to get refills on drinks or chips and salsa and we always have to eat 3 baskets of chips plus our food just to get full they take forever to bring your food the portions are just too small and its expensive and the salsa and chips is nasty no comparison to El Sombrero it taste like tomato sauce last time we went a table full of people who came in after us got waited on before we did and it was only 2 of us we must just be getting bad waiters but we never leave a tip when its bad I go to El Sombrero its the best we hardly ever have issues if we do its just a bad waiter and the food portions are more for the price if you go when its not busy or almost closing time you get even more food :) we went on the 4th of july 2022 and just my salsa special mixed was enough to feed 2 people El Ranchero used to be my favorite but they have also cut back on portions last time we went there the waiter was good and the food was good it was just very small portions for the price and it was...

I come here all the time and usually order the same thing. I was just here 10/27/2024 and my wife and I ordered our food. I ordered first and got 2 chicken and shrimp quesadillas and my wife got what she wanted. When we got our food, I noticed I had two quesadillas with four shrimp on them and no chicken. The waiter told me he’d bring me some chicken because I didn’t say that I wanted chicken. I told him i know for a fact I said it because my wife heard me and I always get the same thing. He said no you didn’t. Then he proceeded to bring me a small plate of chicken and told me to add it myself. The to were very rude to us and made seem as if we didn’t want to pay. I kept telling him i don’t mind paying and that I’m actually trying to spend more by getting more meat. I just want to new quesadillas and didn’t want to add the meat on my own. I wanted it re made. I’ll never go back and I don’t recommend anyone to this place. We are faithful customers and we always tip. However their customer service is...

Food was a major disappointment and the service wasn't much better. My chips were stale; the salsa was alright. The cheese sauce was too thin, though the flavor was good. I ordered diablo shrimp, which is a dish I have ordered in many restaurants. I can say with confidence that what I received was not diablo shrimp. I think it was maybe a mole? It was sweet, not spicy, and too thick for diablo. On the side I got plain white bread, a vegetable medley that reminded me of unseasoned cafeteria food from a can (carrots, cauliflower, and broccoli), and rice that was ok. When I was ready to leave, I asked for check, and then waited with my bill and card for so long that I took my card back and left cash so I...
