been a customer and fan since 1961. walked there barefoot for nickel cokes and icecream. great burgers, friendly prompt service. sorry, now unhappily walking away from both locations. tonight the grand opening of new location. a traditionalist though, called the original for my order, repeatedly no answer. went there to find it closed. went to new location, grand opening and all. 8 pm, relatively few customers. waited at order window for 5 mins or more, never a soul looked my way even to say be right with you in a minute. finally a rude woman opened the window, i asked if original location closed, she said they had a fire. i asked about how long for to wait for a burger order, she said they were so busy no way to tell. sorry, they were not that busy. i commented if this is how service is you are doomed. no concern on her part, i walked away. bottom line, seems new ownership & management is at best inattentive, or maybe absentee - esp on grand opening night. i had tried the new place a month or so ago, not at all impressed with service then too but continued to patronize original. goodbye to both steve fiedler ps clikd 1 star just so i could post, 0 star should...

I've been here twice now. A local iconic restaurant of Victoria that all Victorians have eaten at at least once in their lives. Service is friendly, but it can be a bit confusing if you've never been here.

You are at one of the windows and they give you a number. You go back and sit in your vehicle until they call your number and then you go back and pay at that time and receive your meal and drink. They take both cash and debit/credit.

Parking is limited and they are busy both at lunch and dinner.

I've had there hamburger which is pretty much order it how you want it. T was a good burger that did the job. I've also had their shrimp basket which comes with toast, your choice of fries or tater tots, and tartar sauce. The shrimp unfortunately are frozen pre-made sourced from their supplier. They weren't bad, just had hoped for something else. But for the price, you get loaded down with food and you can't beat that!

I also had their chocolate malt which comes in one size (about 12-16 oz) and it was tasty.

All in all a good local joint to stop in for a good meal for...

Great old fashioned burger drive in. Burger patties ground fresh daily. So it's a standard old fashion burger, 1/4 patty most likely or a little under. Mayo on the sweeter side, lettuce onions and tomatoe; perfect. Wife had a regular cheese burger and a corn dog. Corn dogs appear to be made fresh, nice crispy and golden brown. All the burgers had a double meat option if you want a bigger burger. I'd suggest pickles with a double patty to balance the sweetness of the mayo if you are going the mayo route; and you should. The surprise here was the syrak burger. I was thinking it was a chopped steak patty, it is not. It's a ground steak patty the has a light crispy batter. Very much like a country fried steak. Not overly greasy at all. What I really wanted was a chopped steak burger but I was pleasantly surprised by this. It was really good, and it's pretty big. Great deal at a little over 4 bucks.this is a great little burger shack and everything is as you would expect. Friendly and quick service with a window you walk up to, but...

A very likeable experience. The restaurant was well recommended by local folks and it certainly was well worth the visit. The jalapeño burger in my opinion was fantastic, it was basic but very good indeed. Although the fries were alright, they certainly needed more salt and could have been hotter. The chocolate milkshake was fairly good. Although it was fairly silent when I visited, it still took the best part of 20 mins for my order.

Ordered the big burger (according to the lady that took the order), the burger was good, but less than the size I expected, for the price. The combo included a medium (I think) drink and small fries, the fries were not very good. You order at a walk up window, wait for your name to be called, eat in your vehicle. This restaurant doesn't get my recommendation.
