Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Vidalia

I swear this is one of the worst places in town to go to. Every time I go here, I have to wait so long for my food because all the workers wanna do in there is just stand around and chit chat while looking like they would rather be anywhere else but there. My last visit, I went inside because the drive thru looked congested (I'll get to that in a second), and it was busy in the lobby so I knew it was going to take a while. To my surprise though, the lobby seemed to clear out fairly quickly after I ordered. 30 minutes later, I am still in the lobby waiting on my food while people all around me and even those who ordered after me, were getting their food. This one girl cleared all orders off the screen for lobby orders and the workers seemed like they are having a break while they were standing around chit chatting. Finally, I go up to the counter and tell the cashier I'm still waiting. After asking what my order was, she had it ready and boxed up in 2 seconds........like why couldn't you do that sooner? Am I invisible or something? Finally, after what seemed like 2 years, I go out to my car and the parking lot is a disaster. There was car in the pull up area and people in the drive thru could not get around because the people who built Popeyes obviously didn't think that through because there is not enough space for people to get through when in drive thru, no matter what vehicle you have so those poor people are just stuck. Then I see people making their own parking spots while blocking people in without having a single care in the world. There was this one black truck who parking at the entrance of the drive thru and was standing outside her truck talking to what looked like her mom with her whole village of kids, not even caring she was in a non parking spot blocking the drive thru. At one point, she moved to let a car get through, only to get back in the non parking spot, blocking the drive thru again and putting the whole parking lot at a standstill because other cars were trying to get in and out. 10 extra minutes it took me to get out. My advice, while the food may be good (so good at times), be VERY cautious when coming to this restaurant. They workers don't seem to care at all and the customers just park wherever they please and don't give a care in the world how they park or who they inconvenience in the process. They have pissed me all the way off...

We had a charter bus full of high school students who had toured LSU (1-28-25) and on the way back home to NELA they wanted Popeye's, so I called about an hour ahead of time, explained that I had a busload of students, and would be using a Louisiana State Tax-Exempt form. I asked if they could accommodate us and they said yes, come on. So we arrived, all 40 of us trooped in, the lady at the register asks if we will be wanting mostly sandwiches or bone-in chicken or what, and THEN she tells me they won't honor the tax-exempt form, that it's against company policy. Why didn't she tell me that when I called her an hour earlier? I've been to other Popeye's restaurants and they all accepted our state tax-exempt form. Needless to say, I wasn't about to eat the tax on 40 meals, so we went on down the road to El Ranchero Mexican Restaurant and got delicious meals with great, friendly service, and they did accept the tax-exempt form. I think the Popeye's people were just too lazy to serve us. I'm glad it worked out the way it did; we got better service and better food at...

The food GREAT ,the cashier that was inside register as soon as we came in rude then the short manger came over very bla bla went back to boxing for drive thur with other manger 4 total at window with two in back and side/sandwiches person then there was rude front cashier Lacey that got our order 4 of us then with one person in front of us and three behind us so we put ours on one check instead of four and waited 10 minutes she called my name I went up the man in front of us was walking out with large shack I said hello I think you just give him our food she ignoring me fixed the person next,then the next again I said hello you've either gave our food away or skipping our large order to get these single orders out a lady walk in said her order was wrong at the drive thru both manger never looked up kept going like we weren't even there the side/sandwiches lady came up and fixed drive thru lady the kitchen lady came up pulled my ticket from register then started fixing our food 30 minutes total before...
