We used to order from them 2-3 times a week. Now however, we do so 1-2 times a month. This used to be my family's favorite place to eat, but the location specifically in Cottage Grove has changed our opinion from 5 stars to 1-2 stars at best. We order online and have to wait in long drive thru lines because the inside is never open. We order all times throughout the day and it is never open. I had an issue with a sandwich 2 years ago and they also didn't care about us as a customer then either. I reduced our ordering habit from them then too, but if you attempt to go here enough, you will see for yourself that how seriously the take customer service. Right next door is a Culver's that is probably the most busy restaurant in town at all times a day and JJs sits empty most of the time. Everyone is seeing the trend for this specific JJs. This franchisee is not good and not capable of running a location that really should be thriving. There aren't many options for food in this town compared to other surrounding townships/cities. Yet this location is not thiving. It is just super inconsistent with both customer service and availability. Please go to another JJs in another town. They are all better equipped to handle your experience. Subway is now becoming the best option in town. It is so sad for a quality company to be run so poorly...
Read moreWe stopped by the Jimmy John's in Cottage Grove the other night to have a meal. Five boys were standing around, goofing around and eating a sub where food is prepared. One of our children went to the lady's bathroom while my husband and I were looking at the menu. No one was in the dining room and not all of the tables had been wiped. The young man at the register then said "Just to let you know, we are not allowing anyone to sit in the dining room." Looking at the boys who were not doing anything, I asked the teenager, "Is there something wrong with the dining area?". He said "No, we don't want anyone eating there because we don't have enough people to clean the tables."
We could not help but laugh a little.
Then, my daughter comes out of the bathroom saying that it was not in good condition, there was no paper towel and barely any toilet paper. Not to mention, unclean. When we informed them of this, they all just stood there looking awkward.
While we understand that help is hard to come by these days and working with teenagers is a necessary evil. ;) I would hope that these young men make better choices. We care about the health of restaurants and the growth of good employees. We decided not to eat there and went to...
Read morei informed the cashier that i have never been in here before and was here for a promotional offer. he did not ask what size sandwich i wanted and put in the order fast, and i ended up not getting the size sandwich i got and paid doubled what i inticipated. the cashier walked off when i got done and i had no idea where the drinks were or where anything was so i just guessed. there was a few sandwiches on the table and the girl said #4. i said is this mine? and she just said #4? and i was confused and thought it was a number i was in line so i said i didn’t have my receipt. it was not busy in any way, but the lady who spoke to me did so in a very annoyed rush way that she didn’t know. i said oh okay and left quickly. as someone who works in customer service, i antipated someone would give me a breakdown of how things went, and for someone to do so with an urgency to help customers needs. I left this restaurant feeling confused and upset and safe to say i won’t be back and i will be telling my friends aswell. i know they’re all younger people and some of them it’s their first job, but please get some better hospitality...
