Bubs Irish Pub — Restaurant in Village of Germantown

I had personally never been to this establishment, however my wife and I were invited by a friend to join them to have dinner and then take in a live show. Our table had two folks never get their food, that was finally resolved but it was tedious at best. The folks were very apologetic and did work to make it right and I applaud that effort, the problem really started when we moved to lower level to take in the show, at this point I was $80.00 into the evening. My wife recently had her 10th spinal surgery 2-1/2 months ago, she asked if I could find her a chair with a back on it, I kindly asked front of the house folks and they accommodated my request, took the chair to the table that was reserved to have a guy in orange shirt approach me, told me that chart can’t be here, I explained that folks up front told me I could bring it back, he responded “they don’t have that ability to to do” I responded then go take it up with them, he seemed hell bent on pushing further, the man asked what’s it for, but explained the reason for the chair and he was still not happy and told me to stop yelling at him, never yelled but told him if you have a problem with this chair being her take it and get it out of here, kept at me to the point I had to walk out before the show, my wife had to leave as well, to whomever it was that pulled the testosterone out tonight thanks for ruining our evening just absolutely uncalled for it almost felt like he was trying to start something, at age 52 I know better than to subject myself to that kind of garbage and simply removed myself from a craptastic situation. Very disappointed. Tell the dude to chill out and listen to what patrons are telling you and take the appropriate action but not take it out on someone who did nothing wrong...

Worst Service Ever!!! Went for a show and decided to do the fish fry first. Past rush hour, got there at 6:30p. Sat in the bar area, not busy at all, most tables were open. In fact, was very surprised how dead it was considering there was an event that night. After 10 min and 2 waitresses passing us 4 times, I asked the girl at the "hostess" stand if we could get a server. She said yes, brought us back some menus, but 6 min later of nothing, I went to the bar to get some drinks. Told the bartender we had been waiting and wanted to do dinner and asked if he would be able to transfer the tab. He said he would get a server to take care of us and never did get us drinks. He did however get someone to our table. After hearing about her rough day/week, she did bring out drinks and dinner quickly. It was good, nothing special. I don't think it should get the rave reviews it does. Maybe it was just dirty grease that time of night.

Not once did she come to check on us! When we were 99% done, she came over and still didn't ask how things were, just asked if she could close us out right away. I've served, so I would have no concern with that, but it's the way she went about it that was awful, and then she still was taking care of another table so it's not like she was waiting on us to leave.

During the show, not sure how, but smelt cigarette smoke several times. Bars were understaffed but those girls did a good job. But not a fan of having two different prices for the same entity. A beer at the main bar was $3.75 and 50 feet away at the side bar they were $4.00. ??? And $4.00 for a Coors Lite?? This is Germantown, not...

If you are looking for somewhere to have your wedding, Bub's is the place! They have room to accommodate gatherings of all sizes and their packages are the absolute best deal around. They include the hall, food, DJ, beer, soda, linens, shuttle, coordinator, almost everything you need, which is nice because you have half as many vendors to keep track of. The food - absolutely delicious! - The hall - Beautiful and they are constantly doing updates. The DJ - kept people dancing all night and tailors their selection to your preference. Scott and Gail go above and beyond to make everything absolutely perfect for your day. Coral and gray were my colors and I wanted a splash of coral in the linens with the napkins. They didn't have them, so they ordered them for me (no extra charge). They are also very open and honest with the best way to give you what you want for the lowest price possible, which is extremely helpful when planning a wedding. We got married during 2020, so we had Covid to deal with, meaning we had to last minute reschedule our wedding. Scott and Gail were fantastic with helping us move our wedding two months later and ensuring everything was clean and guests safety was considered along the way.
