KFC — Restaurant in Vineland

I ordered 100 dollars worth of food for my mom's family birthday party and the overall experience was not good. We dont eat out often these days, but she wanted that. I was actually excited i have not had KFC in years.. First, the order was large. I went to the door, it was locked. I was greeted by a young man who nicely said pick up through drive thru. Surprised bc my order was pretty large but with pandemic I was understanding i went to the drive thru. I wasn't sure if i had to say anything to the lady on intercom so I drove passed it and then had to yell because i drove passed it. Which 100% my fault. When I got to the lady she was not nice. Handed me large bags through the window packed to the top that barely fit through the window. At one point, the box of biscuits hit the her window and fell on the ground. She didn't say I am sorry or offer me new biscuits. She didn't even say have a nice day. She turned her back to me and poured herself a soda where she was just sipping away. I wasn't even sure I was done getting my order ..so I pick up my biscuits and drove away. I am not a complainer and I never write reviews...but my biscuits literally touched the ground. And it is a pandemic. Come on. From that point on... I was annoyed and I don't think I will be going to any KFC for a long time. Food didn't even taste fresh. My dad said mashed potatoes tasted off like dirty water was used to make it, and my brother said the tenders were dry and some were 2 different colors. Light brown and dark brown...like one tasted like it was cooking for hours. And I didnt even tell them about my experience! Definitely...avoiding KFC for a while. In my opinion 2 stars is being nice. It is an pandemic but no reason to not have good customer service. My order was on feb 21 2021 pick up time was 4:30 ... Worst customer service ever! I would give the restaurant employees no stars what so ever instead of the one! Ordered a family meal, drive thur service paid $52 was given the food in a paper bag no problem. Arrived home as I am walking inside the paper bag handle tore off and bag ripped down the side. The bucket of chicken and 2 of the sides fell directly onto the ground. I called the restaurant in hopes that they could help me somehow maybe a small discount, if the items that touched the ground couldn't be replaced. Well employee showed no interest in any way of helping me out instead I was told that it didn't occur on the restaurants grounds so it could not be replaced, I was told I should bring my own bags to carry the food in instead if I assumed the paper bags provided by the restaurant arent reliable to hold the order. Lastly that it probably would have not happened if I carried the bag with both hands. Well I checked the written label statements on the paper bag and it does not state anything about holding the bag with both hands and not by the handles. I highly recommend that the restaurant pack the customer's orders in boxes instead makes more sense if she insist I should have held it with both hands. She also went ahead and stated that I was the only customer who's bag has ripped she hasn't heard of it happening before! Well lost dinner for my family plus the $52 I paid for the food. Stopped in to get the 5 piece chicken tender special. The staff was very friendly and courteous. There was an employee named Jerome that actually said hello to me and asked If I was a customer of KFC. Jerome was the reason I stopped in because I was walking by to the bus stop. Jerome then started talking about the specials KFC has and he was actually working in the rain cleaning up around the building. I only had $5 on me and the 5 piece chicken tender special was $6.30. I was surprised when Jerome went into his wallet and gave me $2. I didn't want to take his money, but he said pass it on to the next person. I asked what did he mean and Jerome told me since he helped me, that I help someone else when I can. I've never had anyone do something like this for me. I'm still in shock over it because I was going to McDonald's for $1 menu. I've been craving KFC and He made my day. I was in a grumpy mood and he changed everything.
