A not so accommodating staff and many more reasons made this pricey soup dinner a bust. Waited a bit due to the kitchen was understaffed, cannot order until all parties have arrived, cannot separate check due to it’s a party of 7, we had to explain we need more than one table, very loud K-pop video playing in the restaurant, and $3.50 12oz coke in a can with no refill. Food were okay to not good. Shumai, potstickers, and corn dogs tasted like store bought and were from frozen. Hotpots were okay; bulgogi soup was too sweet and not much meat —maybe good for just one person, and seafood soup was good, but the octopus and clams were tough, mussels and shrimps tasted frozen old, and a small whole crab was untouched, uncracked, nor cut in half just simmering in the soup. The place needs a renovation. With all that, they should get one star, but they tried to be nice in the end. We all decided that we are not coming back. It seems that hotpot places in 757 are not good. We’ll just have to drive up north for a good Korean food I guess. It’s just so disappointing here. ☹️

As previous reviewers have expressed, the food is... good. But portion sizes are ridiculous. 25 to 30 dollars for a single serving size is kind of a rip off lol. The quality of meat is moderate, but I can't really justify it. The Kimbap was also the saddest thing I've had. No imitation crab. No fishcake. No cucumber. Just carrot egg daikon and spinach. If I took this on a field trip in Korea, my peers would have ridiculed me for having a trash lunch with a mother who doesn't love me. 8 dollars for one roll? Oof. Never been so sad. Staff is super friendly, but I would have to say needs to stop explaining things to me. As a Korean American, I would rather you just assume I wouldn't need a 5 minute explanation on how kbbq works and just let me order. Especially since I was ordering the items in Korean and you saying you're rusty with what I'm saying is a bit of a red flag. Anyways. Friendly group over all. Overpriced. Quality is ok. Probably wouldn't venture out again. But a good first experience for others. Thanks.

Me and my gf traveled all the way from PA to Virginia Beach. We googled Korean restaurant nearby and saw this one was still open so we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, it tuned into a nightmare, the service here was ok but the food just awful and disgusting, I have been travel so many places and been to some bad Korean restaurants too, this one got me shocked. We ordered a spicy seafood hotpot, all the seafood were smelly, the shrimp they had in the hotpot were definitely dead and not fresh, same for the crabs, the whole body was empty with no meat at all, it’s obviously dead crabs. The manger then offered us some “fresh” shrimps and told us all the customers ordered this dish finished all with no problem. With all these evidences we weren’t accept these food at all. It’s just got us sick. Eventually, they waived all the bill for what we ordered. But it’s just a horrible experience for us.

Repost: I went here two weeks ago Used to love this place. I was a long time costumer and we spent over a thousand dollars eating here. Today I went and I used to go every time but it's been a while so we decided to come in today. Today our servers were very kind and nice but not at the end I'll tell you later in the review after giving some context.

VERY short summary: got yelled at and told to not come back. Cried in the car home. I am only 14 what kind of an adult server yells at a kid like that.

I have gone to Korean bqq now for a long time and I know how I like to cook even though it's not the proper way. I only do it the proper way when I'm eating with a lot a people today it was my a small group and we are slow eaters. I put down a test strip and one server said to put in a lot of meat and it is understandable that he didn't know what I was doing. I didn't get his name but the man with the baseball cap was nice and so was the other male server. The female was nice when she greeted us but criticized the way I cooked my meat. Like I said we are slow eaters so I don't like putting all the meat at the same time because some will get cold and not taste as good and will be burnt if left on. She said to give me the plate and didn't ask if I wanted her to cook for me. The point about Korean bbq is that it is an independent thing. The pork belly ended up tasting bad and cold like I guessed. I went to tell her " I enjoyed the service but don't touch my Korean bbq next time" which then she told me it is the Korean way to cook it that way and told me that I was rude and if I don't accept her cooking she don't come back again. Take in mind I told her that nicely and she told a costumer they were rude and to not come again because they wanted to cook it their way. Needless to say I won't be coming back and go to hot pot 757 where it's much cheaper and decent Korean bbq. Hey lady if you are reading this, screw you. I literally just don't like how inferior you made me feel when all I wanted to is to have fun with my family and eat plus show a family friend some Korean bqq. If you can't handle a small complaint don't work at a restaurant. To the other servers, have a nice day. PS: we tipped the male waiter. ;) You can also see my review on Yelp

Replying to Hello, We would like to apologize for your feelings but we hope you know you were speaking very rudely to the people at the restaurant as well. All the servers were trying very hard to be nice and explain the way our restaurant works but you kept on telling all the servers that you got it and ignoring all their directions. You burnt every grill after every strip of meat. Your cooking techniques were burning the grill so bad that We had to soak all your grills for days to get that off. We were trying to prevent all that if you may know how it runs here. We were very patient with you and tried to give you and your family a good service but when you walked out yelling at the front desk saying "Hey you don't touch my Korean BBQ next time" I'm very sure the person in the front was very surprised too. If you want to disrespect our servers and our property we cannot serve you anymore.

Thank you and have a nice day. First of all before I told the staff I said I wanted to do my Korean bqq. I said thank you for the service then told them which did not give the front lady the right to completely flip out at a child and cause a child to cry. That is not nice whatsoever so do not give me that “all the servers were trying to be very nice and explain how the restaurant works” Korean barbecue drills are supposed to burn out frequently. I asked my Korean friend in California who owns a Korean barbecue restaurant as well and told me that. He did tell me the way I was cooking was not the normal Korean way but it wasn’t bad. And did I tell no I went to the bathroom and practiced how to tell the front desk kindly so why are you lying. Every time I see a bad review it’s always you yelling at the customers and never actually taking their reviews and improving. You don’t care about...

Good delicious food the soju ice cold food arrival* dine in available

neutral the staff atmosphere

Bad dining experience / hospitality food options / quantity / availability

Having learned that my son in law and his friend had never had Korean bbq , I thought it would be an opportune time to treat the family to a wonderful Asian cuisine. I selected Korean 757 based on the many reviews, the relative location from which we were coming and during the Wuflu pandemic, it’s dining room was open. My experience with Korean cuisine goes back to over 50 visits to Korea and the fact I live in SE Asia. So I know a thing or two about this type of food, the quality, and presentation. As stated above the food was delicious. To play devils advocate perhaps if the dining experience hadn’t been during this Wuflu pandemic, it may have been a better experience. TBD. This was not the case. The staff seated us, asked us to order everything we needed to eat and drink and to remain with our masks on until those items arrived No problem understood The the main entrees (4 total) arrived and looked Devine. The side dishes on the other hand, were a total of 4...to feed four adults. Staff asked if we needed anything else before they left and I stated that I’d like the “ Korean hot sauce” and of course we needed lettuce and garlic to enjoy the entrees. They brought a total of 8 pieces of lettuce on a dish and the other items as requested. Before they left I asked where the rest of the side dishes would arrive as we had already portioned out the 4 we received. This is where the staff was firm and shared that because of Wuflu they were not allowed to bring more dishes out, and that what we got was the correct amount for a party of four ... I insisted that this wasn’t enough for 1 person let alone 4 adults and we needed extra kimchi, garlic, lettuce and at this point water. DEFINITELY NOT KOREAN GENEROSITY or presentation to accompany the entree’s They complied but stated that nothing else could be brought over, even as I suggested I would pay for these items if we’re eating too much. All sides were gone by the third entree , and my son In law asked if we could get more lettuce for the last entree... begrudgingly the staff complied. We finished our meal and closed our experience without further incident. Sadly I did not take pictures of this experience but paying plus 200 and to have to beg for food was a bit of a put off. So to those wanting an experience better than this, I’d wait for either the Wuflu to go away, or confirm what you get as a “set” before the staff walks away. Don’t trust the pictures posted because that is not what will be provided....

The servers are nice and welcome when we came in. After sitting down I felt like this place is kinda humid, they might wanna adjust their ventilation system or air-conditioning. They are totally understaff. There are about 10 tables but only 2 servers. Since Korean barbecue require more work from servers, they should hire more staff.

The options from the menu was little, I was about to order the spicy squid but I didn't because it was under the section which said "Lunch Special" so I guess it's only served during lunch.

The server gave us some suggestions then we ordered the beef bulgogi and spicy pork bulgogi, and we're sharing our food.

Although I know that the side dishes can be refill, the portion of them are only good for one person. I mean for ours and their servers' sake they could just give us more so we don't have to keep asking them to refill. We asked the lady to refill our kimchi and the chewy and sweet whatever it is but only the kimchi came back.

The pork is not spicy at all in my opinion but it taste good. The beef bulgogi didn't have enough flavor, which also comes to the main reason why I gave a 3-star rating. Despite not having some lectures for us to wrap our barbecue meat like some Korean restaurants, they don't have any sauce (like the chili paste and the salty oil one) for us to dip our barbecue food. I've had Korean food from Hong Kong, Korea and the U.S since I was a child, I have never went to a Korean restaurant, especially a Korean BARBECUE restaurant that don't have sauce for us to dip our food. We asked our server if they have any sauce and he gave us some liquid mustard, which you can tell it's not for Korean barbecue. If they provide us some sauce I would've gave them a 4-star.

My friend finished her water for a while but at least the server came to refill after we finished our food. We waited for about 15 minutes (Probably more but we were chatting so time flies) for our check. The male server came first and we told him we want our check. Couple minutes later the lady server came and ask if we want our check again...

Overall the spicy pork is a 4/5, the beef is a 2/5, the service is a 2.5/5 (They are nice but they need more service skills), the interior is 4/5. Their average score is 2.5 so a...
