I've been ordering Marco's pizza for my family of 5 for years at the Chesapeake location and it literally is the BEST pizza we have ever had. We order so much that we almost always get a reward every month. It's always fresh and never have had any issues. Today however I decided to go to this location since it was on my way home from work and needed to save some time since it was Halloween. It was clear they were extremely busy so I can understand a mistake being made but my entire order was messed up. I'm not sure if someone's order was similar to mine and it got switched or someone was careless and didn't bother to make my order the way I asked. I ordered 3 things, one XL pizza, one LG pizza and something new that was supposed to be sausage and pepperoni but I received just cheese and pepperoni. My kids LG pizza was supposed to be just plain cheese but pepperoni was put on it and everyone knows how picky kids can be so mine didn't want it. Pulling pepperoni all off pizza ruins it. Both my XL and LG were supposed to be NY style which they call lite crust with extra crust toppers and pizza sauce on side. Both were made regular w/out crust toppers or sauce on side. The XL also didn't have extra cheese which I paid extra for. I asked the person at counter for 2 pizza sauces and it sounded like he said one per pizza and I said "that's fine as long as it's in box" turns out it wasn't in either of the boxes. Didn't even look or taste like Marco's pizza. I won't be returning to this location and only giving 2 stars because I appreciate the person who I spoke with on phone who apologized and said they were busy and he would return my whole order for the inconvenience/mistakes...
Read moreEdit. Having to order by phone now since the app and the website do not work to place orders. I specifically ordered pizza with extra cheese… I can still see the sauce through the cheese. I ordered extra cheese on the cheese bread and told them to make sure they covered the cheese bread in garlic butter and Parmesan cheese. This was not done either. The cheese bread was completely dry and tasted like cardboard. I threw it in the trash. When you spend as much money as I do with a company and something is done the way you ordered it, you know. So when I’m given a dry block of dough that taste like cardboard and pizza slathered with sauce and no cheese, it’s very disappointing. I’m one of the most loyal customers of Marcos. Ive spent thousands of dollars with this company. But I am sad to say that my ordering the past month has declined drastically. The new changes made to the app are absolutely terrible. I cannot even use the app with my account. It won’t let me log on. Says my account password needs to be changed. But will not send me a reset email. The online ordering is just as bad. I have no clue why these changes were made. It was extremely user friendly before. Very easy to navigate. Easy to place orders. Now ordering from Marcos has become a hassle. Until this is fixed I will continue to cut back on the amount of orders I place with Marcos. The food is great the store I go to is incredible. PLEASE...
Read moreI have ARFID, Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder, a common condition among autistic individuals. It makes trying new foods very difficult because of the OCD-like associations to color, smell, touch, texture, taste, origin, etc. I live in a place where without Doordash, I can’t get any pizza delivered to me. My apartment complex offered a voucher for one free medium pizza from Marco’s and after a year, I finally did it. I was scared, but it was amazing. It is an affordable pizza that tastes just the way a non-global pizza should, easy takeout or delivery expectations. You should never have stupidly high expectations for pizza. This was amazing. My preferences did conflict on the sauce being too sweet and present for my perfect slice, but it was so good, I’m not looking back, I will order from them for now on no matter what. They are also incredibly kind and well staffed, which shows that the company cares about their employees enough to keep more than one person running the entire store like Pizza Hut and they are very instructive on everything going on and made me feel safe in my purchase.
