Angelicos la Pizzeria — Restaurant in Virginia

I use to order from Angelico a lot. After today, I never will again. The pizza is pretty good. I think they're small for the price your paying considering it is nothing spectacular. I mainly order there because I can do so online and that is convenient. I had called a few times to place the order while driving home but those who answered the phone were not polite so I just stuck to ordering online.

Tonight something happened with my order. Whether there was a glitch in the system, I mis-clicked or whatever- I was delivered my usual (Bacon, jalapeno pizza). Everything was great except for the fact that it had no cheese. Like I said, it could have been my mistake. But the "manager" was so rude to me I was really offended. I was friendly and he was rude. It was a burden for the "manager" to call a customer. They more or less told me "too bad so sad." and that it wasn't their fault (which it may not have been). It was poor customer service all around and today they lost a customer.

Like I said, it may have been my fault. But the way the situation was handled and the fact that the manager was so rude was really discouraging. The delivery guys were never nice so I never tipped more than $3.00 I prefer to give my money to friendly organizations. My chinese delivery guys get minimum $5.00...

UPDATE: I called to ask for a refund because after each trying a slice, we instantly felt sick from all the grease. The woman LAUGHED at me. Once again no apology- just laughed and said no has said this before. And that I have to BRING the pizza back to get a refund? AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL PLACE.

We are so DISAPPOINTED. We have been wanting to try this place and finally decided to just order a cheese pizza to test it out. We ordered it and were emailed the order was received and being prepared. But we weren’t given a wait time so after 40 minutes waiting to pickup a single cheese pizza we called and were told it was just coming out. When we tried to explain we were upset we hadn’t been given a pickup time, they had no apologies or solution to offer. When we walked in, they weren’t busy at all. No phones ringing, no people waiting. I have no idea how one plain pizza took 40 minutes to make. And it is THIN. I can’t attach photos for some reason but it is paper thin crust. So extremely disappointed in the food and the service. Will not...

We were in this area for a coin show in December, the weekend of the snow storm. My son and I decided to go across the street to see what this place was like. As we headed in, it looks like a well kept pizza place, with ample seating. The Man at the front desk was helpful, and our waitress showed up and was very polite. The food came out hot, and the portions were pretty big. I was mildly surprised. I had the Alfredo, and the waitress asked if I wanted chicken or shrimp added to the meal. I chose shrimp. The shrimp were well over-cooked, but the Alfredo was what I was after. My son had Angelico's sandwich, which he could not eat all of it.With one soda, two adult drinks, two meals, the total was some where near three Jacksons'. The waitress did her job well. I was very pleased with the amount of times she checked on us. It wasn't too many times, or not enough - perfect. Its an average pizza place with some decent food.
