Id like to share my repeated experience with this specific location, as your local Dasher. To preface, I service Poquoson, Yorktown, Hampton, and Newport News. I've joyfully spent my years in food service making sure your children drank water at their stop to my previous dockside restaurant, I've been grateful to greet your babies everyday in the school cafeteria, and brought some normalcy to their school routine through COVID. I visited your elders for their deliveries, offering connection and hope while they were isolated. I enjoy serving my community, therefore I feel it necessary to stand up for my customers, past and future in this instance.
This location is steadily declining on their service metrics and procedures in relation to DoorDash orders. Mind you, for the area, they are a popular choice. Chick fil a is one of the few restaurants that require specific procedures when picking up delivery orders, to prevent fraudulent activity. I've watched in real time, as this location deviated from those procedures. The answer I received as to why, was that it was too much hassle. I specifically disagree with that, as every instance there has always been ample employees to be able to assist with these simple, but necessary steps.
What results, is bad dashers have found their honey pot. They've found that they can work this location and steal deliveries due to the lack of standard in procedures.
Three times now, I have arrived to pick up a delivery for a customer. At this point, the customer has been waiting 30+ minutes. No order in sight. I'm a platinum dasher, so i move into the next step, which isn't required by DoorDash, but nonetheless I go into problem solving.
DoorDash has a well-oiled resolution system set up, which includes being able to place a replacement order with our company card. This is the only action based resolution we have, once we find out what the problem is.
However, along with not following procedures, this SPECIFIC location does not allow our company card. Why, do you ask? That's a great question, as it is a widely known and accepted MasterCard. I was told by the manager that SPECIFIC location chooses not to accept our company card. The answer I received was "Our location doesn't want to take cards from you DoorDash people." Mind you, this DoorDash 'person' is pulling teeth, trying to get you, the customer, your order.
The last experience I had last week was the final straw. The manager I encountered was an older white lady. As I was trying to find out what went wrong to provide clarity to the customer, I was talked about in a derogatory manner, just a mere 6 feet away, and yes within earshot. I had the unfortunate experience of having to listen to this manager speak ill of me inquiring, before approaching me and telling me she does not assist doordasg, even when it includes orders that have gone through her store.
This is locatlocation specific, which is why I felt necessary to leave the repeated experience. I know this is not the standard that chik fil a models and represents, and it shouldn't continue to be allowed.
If you DoorDash through this location, be aware it will be a gamble of whether you receive your food or cancel. I cannot help the bad dashers that are taking advantage of their lack of responsibility, and I also have no power, resources, or support from management in that location to resolve and complete your order if something goes wrong.
Just based on principle, and the 2ay I was also treated as a person, I will never give this location my personal business again. I've also filed a complaint with DoorDash to discontinue the merchant agreement with this location, and not surprisingly, I am not the first...
Read moreThe processing flow of this restaurant needs a lot of work. I work for doordash and I went in there today to pick up an order With all of our orders at Chick-fil-A's in other areas all we do is walk up to the mobile counter they print the receipt and the begin to make the order. However, upon entering here I waited at the Mobile counter with no one acknowledging me at all. Finally I flagged a girl down and asked her could I please check in, which is the normal process. She called the manager over and he told me I had to get in the main queue to be waited on. I did so the girl at the counter took my order and then told me to go stand and wait in the Mobile area. I waited in the Mobile area for upwards of 10-15 minutes while watching people that came AFTER me in the same queue, get their food and walk away. Also numerous cars went through the drive-thru at this time that would have been after my order. I asked the manager what was going on with the process because I had been waiting a long time. I advised him that because I had to place my order at the counter when I came in I was no different than a walk-in customer and I should have received my food long before the 10 people after me in line did. He could not give me an answer as to why my order had taken so long the only specialty item in the order was one spicy chicken sandwich with Monterey Jack cheese everything else was nuggets tenders and fries. Although I am aware at sometimes they have to cook the spicy chicken sandwich to order with the number of people that order this type of sandwich I should not have had to wait 10 to 15 minutes while numerous people after me in line receive their food and either walked out or will partially finish eating by the time I finally got my order. The order was due by 3:05 I did not receive it until 3:15 which made me late to the customer for the delivery. A customer by the way who had two toddlers he was caring for that we're at the door waiting for food when I got there. The customer even made mention that they had been at the door waiting for me for quite some time. The service I received today AND the past time that I came here has forced me to no longer take this Victory Boulevard Chick-fil-A doordash orders any longer. I will not service a restaurant with unorganized practices that are are...
Read moreI have grown up in Yorktown my whole life. For the past 18 years I have been going to this Chick-fil-A and I have not once been disappointed. The service is genuine and nothing short of lovely. Even when they're super busy my meal comes quickly, and if they're not super busy they usually deliver the meal to your table so you don't have to wait up front. There will even be employees outside when the drive-thru is super long to take orders in advance. If an employee is having a bad day you will never be able to tell; always a friendly environment. Customers come first and it really shows. They also have tons of fun events year round for children and adults, or both such as the Chick-fil-A 5K! Always clean, always cheerful, and always delicious. They even give you fresh lettuce and tomato on your deluxe sandwich, unlike most places where it's flat, thin, and soggy; the icon representing this Chick-fil-A is on point, the sandwiches really look like that. One of my favorite things about going here are the fresh Peruvian Lilies on the tables! Oh, and the occasional free breakfast samples that make their way into my early lunch order! Not to mention that you can get an Arnold Palmer; it's super refreshing since their tea and lemonade are freshly made and not instant like most places. Their Chick-fil-A sauce is also SUPER good to dip both chicken and waffle fries in, if you've never tried it I highly recommend it, but if it's not for you then they have tons of other options to choose from like their BBQ sauce and honey mustard. They have the best unsweetened tea and just best all around EVERYTHING for a fast-food restaurant. The bathroom stalls have toilet seat covers AND a toilet seat cleaner if a cover isn't enough for you haha most sit-down restaurants don't even have that, so considering that they're fast-food is a big deal. Sometimes I forget it's fast food when I'm dining inside, it's just that awesome. PS: Kids can trade in their toy for a free Ice-Dream cone, and on occasion the CFA Cow will come out and say hello! One time he played thumb-war with me and my sister on a slow night. It just doesn't get much...
