First of all you need to take some writing classes so you can express what you really want to say properly instead of "ya'll". Furthermore, we ate the food because we paid money for it. I am not going to pay for food and not eat it, even if it is bland. Does that make sense? Second we had 3 separate checks and there were no more than 3 orders on one check. We were unaware of the gratuity amount because that note is stated at the end of the menu towards the bottom. Mr. Freddy should've stated that he was the "acting manager" at the time, not the actual manager. You do not have to worry about us returning because we won't. So here is some knowledge from the IRS "Auto gratuity is when a restaurant automatically adds a gratuity charge to the bill of a party. Usually, this gratuity is equal to 18% of the bill and is only applied to parties of six or eight or more." All restaurant do not add auto gratuity, if they do the server advises us or it is posted where it can be seen. I stand again that the food was horrible very bland and none of us liked our food but we did not want to waste our money. We never threaten to sue anyone, it is not worth our time. For our 1st time visit is also the last time. Don't worry we won't be returning, a gratuity a 20% is high, per the IRS it is at 18%. How disgusting, I will be calling the Better Business Bureau to file a complaint, and also reporting them to the IRS. I will be posting this on all social media to let everyone know, not to come there. If you want some real Spanish food go to La Pena Horeb in Newport News, or La Tambora...
Read moreI went in for dinner today with my family. It was Cinco de Mayo, so I had to wait 30 min to get a table, which is understood. I was called in at 6pm and the waiter arrived 15 min later to take the order. I can understand the delay. The waiter got my drink ready after 20 min of ordering. That is also fine, I can understand. However, after 45 min of being seated I see that all the people who had arrived after me, have eaten their dinner as well as their dessert, however my order hadn't arrived yet. I called the waiter to check the status of my order and he said it is almost done and will be ready in 5 min. I waited for another 30 min and still my order hasn't arrived. I went inside to talk to my manager because I felt we were being neglected. The manger checked the status of my order and told me that my order was placed at 6:50 pm, when I know I had ordered at 6:15 pm! I explained the situation to the manager that I was waiting for more than an hour but he was very rude. He wasn't apologetic at all, and asked me to leave if I can't wait for my order to be ready! I was shocked! Instead of apologizing, the manager spoke very rudely. After which obviously, the waiter also treated me the same way. My kids were hungry and I was concerned for them, sitting and waiting for food on the table for 1 and a half hour. My kids were starving and they finished the food in less than 5 min. Very poor customer service from the waiter and especially the manager. How he handled the situation was...
Read moreMargarita was great. Meal was decent until I found a HAIR in it. One of the servers took it back immediately and came back out and told me that another would be made; boxed that up when it came out. I assumed that because I was a customer that found a hair in my food, the meal would therefore be free. Is that shallow of me? Anyways when our server brought our tickets out, she told me that mine would be free and then gave me a bill anyway. I asked her about it and then she got the manager. The manager said to me that "the HAIR did not come from my kitchen", in other words, it was not his problem and that since they made another one they had to charge me.( I do not feel like that was great customer service. Regardless of how he felt or not, there was a HAIR in my food.) He then told me that the best he could do was take half off, I said that was fine. The bill came back and was not half off like he originally said. I spoke with him about my issue and he seemed as if he really did not care and that again, it was not his problem. He even told me that the HAIR matched the people I was sitting around. WHAT! Having previous experience in the restaurant business, I know that if a guest finds a hair in their ! food (regardless if you think it was from your crew or not) it should be taken seriously because you want your guests to return to the restaurant. In my opinion, the situation was not handled properly and therefore, I will not be returning, BUT...
