Review of Empanadas Market
Empanadas Market is a hidden gem in our community, offering an authentic taste of Argentina right here in the U.S. Run by the dynamic couple, Clara and Juan Ignacio Dutari, their passion for empanadas shines through in every bite. Their journey began over 20 years ago in Argentina, where they dreamed of owning a business together. After moving to the U.S. in 2000 and delighting friends with their homemade empanadas, they decided to turn their passion into a reality.
The variety at Empanadas Market is impressive. Whether you prefer freshly baked empanadas ready to enjoy immediately or the convenience of their take-and-bake frozen options, there's something for everyone. Their selection of savory empanadas is second to none, featuring both meat and veggie assortments. From the classic #1 Beef and the flavorful #20 Chimi-Pulled Pork to the vegetarian delight of #30 Spinach & Ricotta, each empanada is crafted with care and authenticity.
The desserts are equally delightful. The #60 Guava, Cheese & Walnuts empanada offers a unique combination of flavors, while the #61 Apple Cinnamon provides a comforting, classic taste wrapped in puffy Argentine dough. Their churros, available in frozen take-and-bake packs, are a perfect crispy treat to enjoy at home.
Empanadas Market also excels in catering, with bundles that are perfect for any gathering, ensuring your guests can savor a variety of these delicious pastries. Additionally, their bottled sauces, like the classic Chimichurri Sauce and the Spicy Fresh Tomato, add an extra layer of flavor to any meal.
What sets Empanadas Market apart is not just the quality of their food but the story behind it. Juan Ignacio and Clara's dedication to bringing authentic Argentinian flavors to other families is evident in every aspect of their business. Their empanadas are not just food; they are a celebration of culture, tradition, and the fulfillment of a long-held dream.

Read moreBeing a huge fan of good empanadas I was thrilled to stumble upon Empanadas Market. Once I figured out the door (it didnt have a hand handle but rather a foot handle. Pretty ingenious for COVID times)
The folks there were super nice. Took my order then told me they'd bring it to the car. Theres no seating and they charge you more to cook the empanadas ($3 or $4) so I got a mix of frozen. 2 Beef. 2 spicy beef and 2 chimi churi pork.
The cooking instructions are super broad but easy enough. The coolest thing is that the dough is stamped with a number that corresponds to what type it is. Pretty cool stuff!
I hate to say it but the actual food was a bit disappointing. 1st they were a bit smaller then I expected. On a positive note the pastry part of the empanada was perfect. Nice and flaky. The beef and spicy beef were so loaded with onions that they were more sweet then savory. The plain beef kinda resembled bland taco meet and the spicy beef was so oniony it completely overwhelmed the beef. The chini-pulled pork was probably the best of the 3...but even that was just ok.
I will go back and try other flavors. I count 16 varieties on the menu so plenty more options...

Argentina is the traditional hometown of the popular empanadas, even though they have their origin in the Middle East region. This place has grown a lot, the last time I came, a couple years ago, it was half its size. Business seems to be flourishing and there's a reason. The employee that served me today was very attentive, even while multitasking and taking goods out of the oven. The inside is clean and organized, things seem to have space, not crowded. Every time I see a well organized place, I know its operation must be good also, and without disappointment, my empanadas were done right on schedule. The flavor of the one I tried before leaving, the Portobella, was irresistible. Very balanced flavor. The selection of flavors is very extensive +19. They also sell delicious desserts, Tiramisu, Flan and Tres Leches. Highly...
