We were visiting colleges close by and decided to search on places to eat near by and this gem came up. It caught our attention because it had authentic soul food listed on their menu. We decided we wanted to sample a few items so we called and ordered for pick up, the smothered turkey wings (it comes with rice), the chicken and fish combo comes with fries, and an order of pig's feet. The lady that took my order was so friendly and her customer service was on point! When we got there to pick it up, my husband decided we would eat there. They have a dining room looks to seat about 35 people, 2 bars and I believe there was an area to dance and there was a DJ booth. My husband was so tickled by this set up, said it reminded him of places he go for cabarets! Back to tje food, it was amazing, even the fries were hot and seasoned! Fish was crispy and every bite had flavor, chicken was flavorful and crispy, turkey wings were SO good (would have liked the skin to have been a little less soft) and I don't eat pig's feet but my husband said they were VERY good!!! Ayoooo. I just moved to va from ny and I commute to chesterfield and Petersburg from Carrollton so some days I don’t even go home just going from Job to job. I haven’t had GOOD food since I got here! I called this Location to ask if they had a specific menu item Out of all the stores i called they had what i was looking for. The reason i give them 5 stars is because of the atmosphere and customer service that i received when i arrived. They 2 young ladies at rhe front counter made sure to repeat my order back, ask if i needed condiments and were very professional. I met the owner and she was also very professional and informative. They have a nice dining area and a bar in the back. When i asked if they do events they said yes.
