Glory Days Grill — Restaurant in Virginia

Do not use call ahead carry out.

(1) Placed multiple calls - put on extended hold each time. On hold they play radio replays of old time ball games - about 2x too loud! Hung up, called back and after 3 extended holds, on the the 3rd call someone finally took my order.

(2) I asked for the food to be ready for a pickup at 1 PM (I was driving in from 50-miles away). I arrived at 12:55 PM. I waited and waited for an employee to come to the carryout register. Several waitresses/waiters approached, they made eye contact, but walked away. After about 8-minutes I asked a waitress to find someone to wait on me.

(3) Two minutes later a girl came out from the back (so far I have waited 10-minutes). When I told her my name, she grabbed my food bag which had been sitting behind the register the entire time (no food lamp and finished earlier than I requested).

(4) Food was COLD - fries were disgusting and we threw them away. Lukewarm wings were edible.

Never again will I order carryout here! And after this experience, not sure I will be coming back.

UPDATE: After the management contacted me over my 1-star review, they invited me back. I took my wife there Friday, 24 January, and arrived at 6 P.M.

We were seated and when the waiter took our drink orders (6:12 P.M.), we gave our full dinner order.

After about 20-minutes, my food arrived - not my wife's. Frankly, the quality was sub-standard. At least two wings were meatless (just breading). I asked the waiter for 2 replacement wings.

10-12 minutes later my replacement wings came out - still no food for my wife. I finished my meal - completely - still no food for my wife. In the interim, our waiter kept coming by, stating he spoke to the kitchen and the order would be out "soon".

Around 7:15-7:20 (?), my wife threw in the towel as I had finished my food over 20-minutes earlier ... likely closer to 30-minutes.

We did receive a complimentary Brownie Sundae - but I can honestly say I will NEVER be back. Sorry, this used to be a great place but the quality, service, everything has deteriorated over the past 6-months - and most certainly isn't worth the 100-mile roundtrip from my home...

I went into Glory Days tonight with a friend hoping to have a nice girls night out after a long day of work. I was sadly disappointed when my friend and I ordered two drinks. My friend and I both have “under 21” licenses because they have not expired yet and there’s no need to get new one as there is a “under 21” until a certain date on the bottom of the ID. The waitress took our ID’s and came back shortly and asked me for a second form of ID. I gave her my debit card and jokingly asked her if she didn’t believe me. Then who I assume to be the manager make a snide remark saying that it didn’t matter she needed the second form of ID to make sure. So again, I complied and continued talking with my friend. The manager comes back asks to see BOTH of our ID’s so she can check the Virginia license regulation book. So now my friend and I are both pretty annoyed because both of us are 4 and 5 years over 21 and have never had a problem like this before. The manager comes back only to tell us that she can not serve us drinks because Virginia doesn’t make ID’s like ours anymore (which is not true) and because the plastic was coming off on of the edges. I explained to the manager that I had gotten a new ID when they changed but my picture stayed the same. But because my friend and I were both pretty upset by the situation, we just decided to leave. This place sucks!!!!!

I recently came across this Bar and Grill over the last 6 weeks, and went there 4 times with other friends. My last visit was on June 16th 2018 and it certainly is the final time.

On June 16th, I took some friends (group of 6 adults) there and the treatment we received from the time we entered the door was terrible. We got there around 8:30PM and the place only had a handful of patrons. Upon entering the bar, we saw several staff milling around and chatting, but none of them seemed interested in doing their job. After an akward couple of minutes waiting, one of the servers, who served us before finally came to us, but he was annoyed to high heavens. His attitude permeated itself to the others he was chatting with, and the young lady who decided to take us to be seated did not hesitate to express her displeasure in doing so. She was rude and very obnoxious to all of us. We sat down and could not believe what was going on and extremely surprised at what was playing out in front of us.

We quickly assessed what was happening and it was an easy decision get out of there and take our business somewhere else. We ended up at Cooper's Hawk and had a wonderful time.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. If you are reading this, think twice and save yourself...
