I wanted a steak and cheese and stumbled across this place. I had never heard of it, and have lived in the area for a while. I was excited to try it given the reviews, and I love Pizza with a Twist, and the pizza/Indian fusion options in Fairfax. I really wanted to like this place, but give honest reviews. I am all for small businesses. I tried the steak and cheese, Chicken Tikka pizza, cheese pizza, and the the egg and cheese Pide. I used to eat spicy level Thai and Indian curries, but for some reason all of the sudden lost my spice tolerance, and no one else in my house likes spicy food. The Chicken Tikka pizza was way too spicy for me and I could not eat it. I eat Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka and tolerate it ok. The steak and cheese had a different flavor than I’m used to. Maybe the meat is different. There was not really any cheese and the lettuce was cooked with the meat, which was kind of odd, and it obviously wilted. It was basically just bread, meat, and cooked lettuce. It was ok, and like I said had a different flavor. The Pide was different and good, but there was not a lot of cheese or toppings like in the pictures, and was mostly bread. The cheese pizza was good, but I selected the “cheesiest cream cheese” pizza online. It didn’t give a description, so I assumed it was multiple cheeses. There was jalapeños on the pizza, it was like a jalapeño popper pizza. I have no spice tolerance. I tried picking the jalapeños off, but the pizza was still spicy from the jalapeños being cooked on it. I also ordered stuffed crust, but when I went to pick up my order they said they were out, and refunded me the extra charge. The gentleman at the front was really nice, but I always get stuffed crust pizza, and would’ve liked to know beforehand. I would not have ordered the cheese pizza if I knew that they did not have stuffed crust pizza. I ate the middle of the Pide and a little of the steak and cheese. I didn’t want the bread at the end of the Pide or the rest of the steak and cheese, neither did anyone else. The total was $70 and I ended up tossing everything. I was planning on having leftovers. It wasn’t bad, I would try a different stuffed crust pizza from here, but with the other options in the area am highly unlikely to order again...
Read moreI live about 75 miles away from this place so it comes out to be about a 2 hour drive considering how bad traffic gets in Virginia. That said, I’d still drive down there every day if I could.
I heard about this place through an Instagram reel and finally got around to visiting about a year ago. A friend and I ordered a chicken tikka pizza and it was so good the two of us finished an extra large sitting on the bench in front of the store. Their food is fresh (of course), every single item or ingredient has its own unique flavor from the sauce to the chicken, it’s just the right amount of spicy, and everything is cooked perfectly and evenly.
As for customer service, after we devoured that pizza I went right back inside to order one for the road. The guy at the register was super nice and we just made some small talk, he told me about how his family runs the restaurant and then asked where I’m from. Once he found out how far I drove just to try the food, he made me an extra pizza and wouldn’t let me pay for it.
I stopped by again today and the final plus point I can give them is consistency. I ordered the same exact thing and it might have been even better the second time. Hard to tell since it’s been so long and because that first taste was already hard to beat. The customer service was just as good, extremely good people. Honestly just can’t say anything but good things...
Read moreWe just had an amazing experience at Hashtag Pizza! We are from out of town and visiting for the day, we stumbled upon the restaurant after asking Meta Ai for a list of the best places in the area, and it DID NOT disappoint! The food was delicious, freshly made, piping hot and perfectly cooked.
What really stood out was the quality of the service. We had no idea this was a carry out place and walked in with a party of 7, 4 of these hungry teenagers/children. They welcomed us and did not hesitate to rearrange the tables and chairs they had available to accommodate us. We felt very well taken care of.
We ordered the garlic knots, cheesy bread (out of this world!), bone in wings, and three pizzas - cheese, pepperoni and the current special Perri Perri Chicken. Everything was delicious, very generous on the cheese and toppings. The Perri Perri chicken pizza was amazing, such an explosion of flavors.
Now we wish we lived in the area so that we could continue to try their specialty pizzas, we heard the Tikka Chicken Pizza is their most popular one. If we are in the area ever again, we will make...
