I was on my way home one evening and craving Chinese so I stopped in for some carry-out… Inside was the typical Chinese carryout, loaded with boxes and all the supplies they need for their business stored up front. The girl taking orders was American and spoke perfect English, which was a very nice touch! I opted for egg drop soup and chicken and broccoli. The soup was bland, not much flavor and definitely no touch of sesame oil to it. The chicken and broccoli was made with nice, fresh ingredients, but was beyond bland! Soooo boring!!! How do they mess up such an easy dish? The chicken was tender and seemed to be nicely velveted, but no soy sauce, ginger, nor garlic flavoring to anything. Soooo disappointing! This place has been here several years, but this is my first time trying it and this is why! Based on the reviews, I didn’t expect much, but was hoping for some amount of Asian-based flavoring – Absolutely NONE to be had here!

Was at the gas station and decided to place our order online for pickup. Drove over to Hong Kong and waited in their seating area for our order (I hadn't given them enough time between order and pickup). The seating area was fine for casual dining, but I was taking the order home for the family. I can easily see dining in. They delivered my food wrapped up tight and ready to go. We had chicken curry, sweet-n-sour chicken, combination lo mein, and steamed dumplings. The dumplings were a little more doughy than we are used to, but all of the other food was tasty. We will be ordering again from them. #OwlsTweet #BirdLife #worldtraveler #NomNomNom @MeetMrOwl

Amazing food, honestly exceeding my expectations. I passed by the little Hong Kong shop on a drive and gave the place a shot. I was greeted by a warm smile and ordered an orange chicken and crab rangoon. The food came out fast, and boy was it delicious. The rangoon was crispy, some of the best I’ve had, and the orange chicken was gone in minutes (by my stomach). Best chinese takeout in this area at an unbeatable price, especially in todays economy. If you’re around, get some food here you won’t regret it!

I frequent this store about once a month since 2013, and I dont know why I still do. In 2023 they stopped giving freebies with orders over a specific amount, like if you order $50+ you get a free crab ragoon. But they are on the way home. I spend about $75 to $100 each visit, sometimes more. About two weeks ago, I placed an App based order for the first time, via their website. I did it using the QR code I saw in a prior visit. . It was a $136, and they are advertising 10% off for first time app users.

It did not give me the 10% off online, so when I arrived I mentioned it to the young blonde girl handling the front desk. She looked at my order and said it was added.

When I got my order, I asked for a receipt and she told me she couldn't give me one. So I again asked for evidence that I got the $13.60 off, and she then changed her tune and said, I did my order wrong, and there for didn't qualify. What? She said I had to start at the qr code link and then forward to the order, not at the website. Which is what I did. There were people around so I didn't want to embarrass myself for arguing over $13 (or customer good will) so I took the order and left.

When I got home we all sat to eat, and one items in the order, Pork Fried Rice had an OFF TASTE, like the oil was bad or burnt. It, combined with the way the girl tried to placate to me, about the discount telling me it was there. Refusing a receipt, and then changing the story, made me decide to call the store and ask for a manager.

She answered the phone, and when I asked for a manager she said, why, and I said I had to discuss a complaint, and she said about what, and I said about her, at which point she said, the manager can't talk now, you need to call back tomorrow. WTF. So I went online and found two other Chinese restaurants on route 610 and another on route 17, all just as conve ient, and decided they could use my measly $2400 per year, as this restaurant was not really concerned with keeping customers happy.

I thought that was it, until I started receiving notifications and emails via the APP that I was told I did not use correctly asking me if I remembered my recent visit, and they Missed Me... tagging me to place another order. (By the way, no place to add a survey... cause they really don't give a crap about your opinion.)

So I am leaving this comment, and will not return.. but more importantly, as people tend to do, whenever any one asks, I will be sure to spread the good word about how much this restaurant...

I ordered from them via uber eats lastnight, on the app it had options for fried rice and french fries or plain as a side, i chose plain as an option thinking it meant plain rice. I chose the 8 piece chicken wing and crab sticks entree, it got to my house and it was only 4 piece chicken wings/crab sticks and no rice. At first they told me it is an option for white rice on there and i tell them as im on the app there isnt an option specifically stating that only for different fried rices or fries and i had to choose an option to place the order. Then another lady got on the phone and said i have to write in the comments i want white rice and theyll give it and i am like ok well there is no further directions on there stating that or that plain means im not getting rice and this is the information for your restaurant…so im not getting the rice? Since im calling them letting them know i wanted rice…she told me to contact uber because theyre supposed to have whatever on there and they’ll either have us make an order with the correct stuff or give you the money back…i dont understand if youre willing to make a whole new order via a 3rd party request on behalf of the customer how you wouldnt just pack plain white rice via the customer directly…so i went on the uber app and apparently there is no number for me to talk to someone directly only a virtual chat that is automated and states theyll contact me in 48-72hours and i didnt get a refund. So much for having take out dinner on a...

When we first moved to the area in 2018, this was the first place we tried and it was probably the best Chinese we had for years. We had a string of bad orders, spare ribs tasting past their prime and chicken with broccoli very wilted and meat again having the "something wrong" smell. We transferred to Shun Xing for awhile, whose broccoli has always been vibrant, but they've been shying from the flavor lately and their rice is kinda weird. The others in the delivery area have always been pretty mediocre at best and the random couple times we went with these dudes over the last couple years it wasn't any better than Shun Xing.

Tonight (15 February 2025) we tried Hong Kong again after a long wait and it was fantastic all over again. The bourbon chicken was sweet enough without being molasses and with a definite spice complexity, the spareribs had plenty of sauce that was similarly sweet and differently flavored, the broccoli was bright and perfectly cooked. I'll probably try the Orange Chicken next time to see if it's crispy or soggytown; if the former i might go up to 5 stars.

Glad to see they're back to what...
