We have been going to Lori’s for years, and it WAS always great. A few years ago it became hit or miss with the food but it was close to my parents house so we still went on occasion. We went last night and it was by far the WORST ever. First off the waitress was not nice, but whatever. We got our drinks and ordered mozzarella sticks. The drinks had hardly any ice and the mozzarella sticks were nothing special. The same you could get in the frozen section, but again whatever. We asked for more ice and we’re informed they were “all out” all while the other waitress was bringing out cups of ice to other customers. My salad came out and it looked about 5 minutes from rotten. The waitress was asking if it was okay, to which I sent it back, and didn’t ask for another one. It came with my meal anyways and not something extra I ordered. Then our food started to come out, my husband had ordered an Italian sub which came out so burnt it could crumble on the table. At this point we decided to leave, and went to talk to the manager to pay for our drinks and mozzarella sticks. The manager could care less, gave a nonchalant “sorry” we paid and left and will NOT be back. If your looking for a good meal I’d recommend you go elsewhere. Oh they also now charge...
Read moreThe food was delicious, we were especially pleased with pizza dough which left "pizza bones" that weren't tough and chewy, but just the right amount of crispy on the outside/chewy on the inside. I only take a star off the food because it was slightly bland as compared to what you expect for Italian, but it was an absolutely solid choice - very reasonable pricing, very good portions, and made a great lunch date with my dad and stepmom. The gentleman who runs the place is so friendly and checked in on us a couple of times, then chatted with me while I waited on an order to take home to my mom. The only actual negative are what they describe as garlic knots. They're really just twists of dough with some powdered mozzarella sprinkled on top. Not a trace of garlic in sight. They were part of the bland experience. If you want amazing garlic knots, Mama Maria's in Salem. I brought a spinach pizza with white sauce home for my mother and it was wonderful, with subtle flavors from the spinach and garlic - delicious! Good cold beer, nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and solid food all make this a good choice,...
Read moreWe recently had the worst experience at Lori’s. We ordered to-go pizza, pasta, and calzones. My parents are vegan, so they ordered 2 veggie calzone from the menu, without cheese. We picked up the food, drove home, and realized that we received the wrong pizza. But that’s not the worst of it. After cutting into the calzones, the dough on the inside was completely raw. We called back and they offered to remake all the items. We drove back, and after waiting for the food, we asked them to cut into the calzones and sure enough, raw dough. After back and forth with those behind the corner, they said they couldn’t make it again because it’s going to “come out the same way”. On top of all this, there was NEVER an apology. They never acted apologetic or empathetic about the situation. After 2 hours total trying to get food for dinner, my parents had to opt to pick up food from the grocery store to make at home. I’m extremely disappointed, they...
