We hired Main Event Catering for our wedding after being blown away by how delicious the food tasted, and how great Ali was throughout the sales process. Things went downhill after we had our executed contract. Our wedding was handed to Jessa as the event coordinator and her work was not impressive. She was disorganized, which led to communication challenges leading up to the event. We had to thoroughly scrub her emails, as they would consistently include incorrect details and prices. We also had a call with her in which she frequently mixed up details from another wedding with the details of our own. On the day of our wedding, the staff displayed wine bottles on the bar that we asked multiple times ahead of the event not to display. We and our coordinator then had to ask multiple times for them to remove the wine from the display bar. They also failed to provide the "Her's" drink that we agreed to in the contract. We provided the alcohol and they were supposed to provide everything else. To our surprise, when we requested the Her's drink, one of the waiters went into a lengthy explanation with the groom about what the requested Her's drink was versus what they decided to serve instead, trying to tell the groom that he did not understand what the Her's drink was. Our wedding took place in August, and the team decided to put our doughnut wall against a hot window instead of the interior wall that was designated and agreed upon, so all of the icing quickly melted off the doughnuts, which created a huge mess and quite frankly, a waste of $800. To top it all off, we found out from the catering staff that Jessa left approximately 3 hours before she was supposed to, which led to chaos at the end of the evening. Multiple guests told us that they saw the wait staff pouring out our open bottles of wine and liquor that we spent thousands of dollars on. Including a wine that our venue no longer sold. The staff also did not package the food appropriately per the discussions ahead of the event that we had with Jessa since she was not there to relay those instructions. Throughout the night, the entire staff at Main Event Caterers was phenomenal. Despite the whirlwind of activity, they made sure that my wife and I were taken care of, ensuring we had food and drinks throughout the night—even when things were at their craziest with us being the bride and groom. Their thoughtfulness and attention to our needs allowed us to relax and truly enjoy the evening, knowing we were in such capable hands.
And of course, the food was absolutely delicious! Every dish was a hit with our guests, and we’ve received countless compliments on how amazing the food was. The presentation was stunning, and each bite was better than the last. We are still hearing rave reviews about the meal from our friends and family!

We selected Main Event to cater our brunch wedding, despite being 2-7K more for less food than the other caterers we met with, because everything we tried at the tasting was amazing. The chefs are clearly capable of making good tasting food, but not serving it to 100 people. -We ordered french toast with maple syrup shooter. At the tasting they were served with an ample amount of maple syrup. At the wedding the glass they came in had about two drops in the bottom. -All of the entrees came out at room temperature, which was fine for the crab cake but disgusting for the eggs Benedict. I will say, aside from one guest complaining of shell in the crab cake, everyone said it was very good. However the Benedict looked as tasted terrible. The third entree option was a blintz, which was mediocre. -We were told not to worry about peoples drinks running low during the meal because we had 9 servers for 11 tables, but no one was filling drinks and my mom had to get up and ask them to start serving. -We ordered a selection of three doughnuts including a filled dulce de leche doughnut, which appeared to have been replaced with a caramel glazed doughnut. But no one told us this was happening or asked if we were OK with the change. -We provided the alcohol for the event and when they started packing up I asked what we needed to do to get all the left overs. They acted surprised and said if I wanted to take what was left over their staff would need to bring it down to our car.
