First time at this Restaurant. I was a little concerned considering the reviews are all over the place, but there is nothing to worry about. Three of us arrived in the party, and we ordered one personal pizza Meat Treat for testing the pizza they make, and also purchased 2 homemade lasagna meals, and one Baked Meat Ravioli dinner. The salads that came with the meals were your basic side salad, fresh but nothing amazing. The garlic bread that came with the meals were very good, just the right consistency and a nice flavor of garlic.

One of the big things for me and Pizza is the crust and the sauce, the personal pizza was really good. The crust was light and thin, the way I like it, and the sauce was rich and flavorful. I will be purchasing a larger pizza later.

The star for me though was the lasagna, it was very good. Layers of pasta and cheese with a rich, tasty, tomato sauce that made me think of my grandmother and her cooking, it was on point and so tasty that my friend who never finishes his food, well of course finished it up. My friend who ordered the ravioli finished them before I could even ask if he liked his food. Also very unusual (SMILE).

I would recommend that you give this place a try, it is a nice find in Chester and despite the various reviews I think is a pretty good restaurant and...

I went into this restaurant on Tuesday of this week to pre-order a $90 tray of pasta to be delivered to my house on Thursday at 5:30 so that I could take it to an event at the high school which started at 6. I was quite clear about the importance of the timing for this event. I called on Thursday at 3:15 just to double check that all was well and I was assured it was. At 5:30 I had no food. I called again and was told it would 10 to 15 minutes longer because they were running late. I asked if it was still at the store so I could pick it up and was told no that it was already out for delivery. I had to leave my husband behind to wait for the food so that I wouldn’t miss my son’s performance. At 6:10 (while the show was happening in the background) the driver called to say he couldn’t find the house despite the fact that the numbers are right on the mailbox on the street in big black numbers. My husband missed the entire performance waiting for the food at home. He did get it to the school just as people were lining up to eat. I cannot express how disappointed I am in the handling of what should have been a...

To be honest, my husband and I enjoy the pizza, it's better than pizza hut and dominos. We've order the fries, calzone, gyro, wings, etc. Unfortunately, nothing to rave about but like i stated before, you should be able to enjoy it. The reason for 3 stars is because NOTHING mama's pizza offers is free and so I personally feel that when i spend my money i should GET what I've paid for especially when my request has been specific. EVERY TIME we've order the large pizza with extra cheese (entire pizza) and half pineapples/green peppers (both items on the same half), we get every possible combination except the one desired. Pisses me off at times but, when you live in an area where only they deliver options become limited. Oh how i miss NY (my hometown). Such is the life of a service member. Come on mama's pizza, get the orders right, we're paying customers remember... running joke between my husband and I, ONLY add items to your pizza you and your guests won't mind eating, smh. Their motto should be "IF YOU WANT IT YOUR WAY, GO TO...

Update: Mamas pizza reached out to Slice and approved refunding me 5$ 😂 "Half the cost of the pizza". This place is a joke. Keep my money. You obviously need it more than I do. I ordered with a group for a lunch pickup and recieved an inedible pizza. I don't know if it was made too far in advanced, or just not prepared properly in general, but the pizza was so stuck to the box that I wasn't able to even pick up a full slice. I contacted them for a refund (I usually never ask for refunds, but in this case I truly could not eat what I was given) and was told I'd have to reach out to the online ordering service I used (Slice) who then told me they had to reach out to the company, who told them they would have to call back in a few hours for the issue to be resolved....They both got their money for my order and I got to go hungry and frustrated for lunch. Not only was the food inedible but the process to get a refund, which I haven't recieved, is a chore and a half. Wouldn't recommend Mamas Pizza or Slice for ordering.

All I can say is: BEST PIZZA IN THE AREA! I once had a pizza in NY about 11/12 years that forever defined my definition of the "perfect pizza" and since that pizza my palate has been on a subconscious quest to find a similar pizza and well IT FOUND IT! At Mama's! In order for a pizza too be perfect all 3 elements must exist: 1. perfect sauce (not too much oregano and not too thick. Sweet/tart balance) 2. The crust (floppy, simple, no spice 'that's the sauce's job' slightly chewy) 3. Cheese (perfect amount of salt, slightly chewy, baked to where tiny golden dots speckle the pie minus the giant cheese scab of an overbaked pie I knew the pizza had potential when I smelled it and when I opened it my mouth was like "could this be it? The pizza we've been searching for?" And then I took a bite and it was like the stars aligned (in this case flavor and texture). So yes good pizza DOES exist in the south and it's at Mama's! P.S. I like only cheese and my husband likes pepperoni hence the weird looking pizza in the photo

I had my doubts about going inside. Place was dead for a Friday night. However, after dining inside looks like they are pretty busy with takeout and delivery orders. I ordered grilled chicken sub. It was good. My only disappointment was it had chopped onions which was not listed on the menu. Otherwise I would've requested no onions. Fries were crispy and hot and my kids enjoyed their pepporoni 🍕 pizza. Sauce was not the sweet type. Dough was well cooked and fresh. My son ordered Buffalo wings but was given regular wings. But he ended up loving them plain. He said they were tasty and cripsy!! Staff was friendly and welcoming. I would definitely return if I'm traveling through this area again. Bathrooms were clean and prices were fair. Don't forget to like 👍 this review if you found it helpful
