Marco's Pizza — Restaurant in Virginia

Very late, very rude when I spoke with John “the manager” who I found out was just a “shift lead”in realty was very rude and nasty when talking with me. I ordered food for my kids and was told to expect it to arrive in about 35-40 minutes. I called to check after about 50 minutes had passed to check on the status of our order as I had to call in my order because the app was not working properly. I was told they were short and my order should arrive within about 10 minutes...20 more minutes later, no pizza and 4 hungry kids. I called again and the girl who I spoke with before didn’t even respond when I asked about the status of our order but silence followed and then a voice came on. It was John...who was really disprespectful, unapologetic, and completely lacked any grasp of customer service. John spoke over me and gave me excuse after excuse and was defensive...over late pizza. Honestly, had he he just said, “hey, I’m really sorry about the delay” it would have been understandable. Stuff happens outside of our control. John could have, however, controlled his mouth but he chose not to. After well over an hour, Ryan, our delivery driver was very kind and apologetic when he finally did arrive, but John, not so much. Very disappointed with John and the way he “manages” Marcos. I understand being short...I deal with it regularly in my work but I always treat my “customer” with patience and respect. I received an “I don’t care”- legit, this John person said he didn’t care about my concern and was a real piece of work. I hung the phone up after he told me he didn’t care. Good...

Last night I ordered a bbq chicken pizza and a large pepperoni.. I drove to the store and paid. Both pizzas were not cooked, so I called and let them know. So they made a new order for me.. When I got back to the store they were combative. Saying “we put it in for the right time and we checked to make sure it was cooked so they don’t know why I felt that way “ I wasn’t trying to argue and I was glad I got my order remade.. the lady who was making the pizza the first time I picked up the pizza was the one who handed me my new ones .. she didn’t look happy !! I take my pizza back to my work .. only to find the pizza was the same .. but sloppy and pepperonis clearly thrown on the pizza .. in piles .. and cut with uneven pieces..the bbq chicken was worse than the previous pizza !

First off I'll give the food 5 stars! I'm only giving 3 here because when we came in for lunch the only booth open was filthy. The table and the seat. I have to clean it myself. Then i noticed there were no high chairs or booster seats. I have toddler twins. I need high chairs. Then I ordered and waited. Our food was made to order. I was so hungry by the time our food arrived. I go to eat my sandwich and it was totally wrong. It was rang in correct but I was made an entirely different sandwich. They did remake me a new sandwich, apologized, and gave me a gift certificate to get as free sandwich. I know they are new and still getting the kinks worked out. And although my first trip wasn't the best, I will be a repeat customer in the near future. Excellent...
