mezeh — Restaurant in Virginia

I come to this location quite often as it is right around the corner from my home. Normally the customer service is good here but today was the total opposite. There were about 5 to 6 employees at the location at 8:30pm. The line was moderate as there was only one couple in front of me that hadn’t been helped as I entered. Once the couple was helped I literally stood in the middle of the food bar without any welcome or anything although a worker walked over and stared directly at me before going on to make a pick up order. There were two ladies making food for in store customers, two ladies making to go orders and a gentleman chef.

Once it was my turn one of the ladies making the orders completely walked right by me and spoke to the client behind me although I had no food in front of me on their side and just stood there waiting to be acknowledged or even greeted. I kept it nice, gave her my order and left without leaving a tip.

I honestly never write reviews but now it’s time to start to speaking up. This would be a bit more understandable if it was mid day or very busy. All clients deserve some basic form of acknowledgment or a greeting at bare...

They have drastically increased their catering prices within the last year and drastically decreased the value. We will no longer use them for catering and do not recommend that anyone else uses them.

March 19, 2024 I ordered a build your own package for 13 people. It included two bases, two proteins, 10 toppings, 2 dressings, pita bread, and pita chips. The order also included bowls, all necessary serving utensils, and eating utensils. The total was $263.80 with delivery.

March 7, 2025 I placed an order for 10 people. I had to order a la carte catering items (advertised to be for 10 people) because they changed their packages to be for a minimum of 20 people. I ordered one base, two proteins, 4 toppings, and 2 dressings. The toppings provided were less than half of the amount of the 2024 order. The order did NOT include any bowls, serving utensils, or eating utensils. The total was $257.50 for delivery.

I ordered from here tonight because the Mezeh closest to me inidlo has been experiencing quality issues so badly the last month that Doordash removed them from their restaurants until they improved. so instead of improving, they increased their prices by 20%. I refused to order from them again. So when I ordered here, for $4/less per bowl, Not only did I get everuthing I ordered, but I received SO MUCH MORE THAN MIDLO store! i received WHOLE PITAS instead of a half pita per order, I received a whole pita for rach bowl, I then got the 2 extra I bought also!, they do not come with meals at Midlo store, the extra protein I paid for came in a separate container so you can see you're getting it! i didn't realize I was paying for but not receiving the extra protein from the Midlo store, EVER, in all of the weekly times I ordered there! So in short, I think this restaurant is excellent and exactly what Mezeh the chain should be emulating. Food is outstanding! worth every...
