Panaderia Mi Pueblo — Restaurant in Virginia

Though I can't speak much on whether these baked goods are traditional or not, I can speak A TON on how freakin delicious they are. I've had my share of Mexican pastries and one thing I've noticed is some can turn out pretty dry...but Panaderia Mi Pueblo makes really wonderful options that are light and airy, buttery and savory, sweet and creamy, but not dry. I don't know the names of my favorites for sure...the elephant ears I think is one, the super crispy layers of pastry are melded together with caramel that goes so well with a cup of coffee. You are going to love this place. An amazing bakery where you can pick up a tray and load it up with all your favorite baked goods fro their selection. I was familiar with most, but not all of the pastries, and the friendly helpful staff was right there to help and make suggestions on my first time in. In fact, the first time I entered I thought I had entered a different dimension where everyone was happy to see me and dressed in white and smiles.
