Though I can't speak much on whether these baked goods are traditional or not, I can speak A TON on how freakin delicious they are. I've had my share of Mexican pastries and one thing I've noticed is some can turn out pretty dry...but Panaderia Mi Pueblo makes really wonderful options that are light and airy, buttery and savory, sweet and creamy, but not dry. I don't know the names of my favorites for sure...the elephant ears I think is one, the super crispy layers of pastry are melded together with caramel that goes so well with a cup of coffee.
