Panera Bread — Restaurant in Virginia

I have never gone to a Panera Bread during the day, but I had the rare opportunity for a quick lunch break with my girlfriend and I knew she loved your French Onion soup, so I thought I'd run in real quick, pick up lunch, and have a nice meal on a break.

As soon as I walked in, I knew I had made a mistake. Long lines. Everyone at these kiosk things I'd never used. Most of the tables filled. I just knew that I was going to spend my entire break just getting my food.

I figured out how to order with the kiosk. Grabbed the first cup in front of me, then I found the pickup. I filled up my drink and then turned and waited a minute. Then I realized I had no receipt. No number. How will they know what food is mine?

The manager saw me waiting. Asked my name. Grabbed my food. Handed me a reciept. Noticed I grabbed a small drink instead of the large I paid for and handed me a large cup.

It was faster than a wait in line at a fast food joint. The food was certainly better. The customer service and organization of the staff was extremely professional. 1st, while standing in line I let a senior white woman in front while I made my mind. I person in front of me had a very long order. A cashier came out and took the order of the white woman, but left me in still waiting to be serviced. I started to leave than. But I had things to do. Than when the person who had a very long order in front was called. I expected to have my order called shortly after. But waited and saw the waiter give food to two tables that came after me, so I asked about my order because my pager ever went off. So the waiter brings me my order (pick-two), the soup was barely warm. I took it back and the person behind the counter microwave it so hot that I had eaten most of my sandwich before I could eat. Everything worked me from the line. I felt that I would get no justice had I said anything at that point. I had somewhere to be. I've ever experienced this at any Panera's, I will very go to that one again and will tell friends and family about my experience.
