Chick-fil-A — Restaurant in Virginia

This is a cramped location in a strip of shops. I stopped because my daughter wanted fries and a fruit cup after leaving the nearby pet hospital with our dog. I ordered a grilled nugget kids meal figuring the dog could have them if the kid didnt. I asked for fries with it and was guickly told that it comes with fries. Fries are one of several choices with a kid's meal and anyone on the register should know that. I then ordered a separate large fruit cup, and a meal for myself. Just after running my card, someone behind the cashier pipes up and says they're out of fruit cups. He asks me if I would like "anything else in instead, like an ice cream cone." There was no effort made to refund me for the fruit cup. I paid 4.25 for a fruit cup, and he wanted to give me a $1 ice cream cone in its place. I asked for a milkshake instead and while the cashier was making it, I overhead a lady, who appeared to be the manager, tell her that she must still ring the transaction up because of the price difference.

The cashier ignored her and handed me a $3 milkshake and told me have a nice day knowing I paid for a $4.25 fruit cup.

The place was packed and I had the dog waiting in the car, so I let it go and went on my way. After getting outside and getting the kids meal open, I found they gave me regular nuggets instead of grilled.

I frequent three other Chick-fil-As, and occasionally stop by two more. I have never had anything less than a perfect order at any of them. If they were out of something, they never tried to give me a cheaper alternative without a refund. I don't know of the people here are ignorant of how you should do things or intentionally try to get over on someone but, I won't be returning there...

Wow, Willow Lawn Chick-fil-A, great job today! When I walked in, there was a line all the way to the door but I sat down with my food less than five minutes later! While I sat eating, the lunch rush never slowed down but you all continued to be friendly and helpful even as you were fast and effecient. You all were smiling, and you even took time to engage with customers, and go above and beyond in making sure they were satisfied and had what they needed. One of you even paused your crucial duty of clearing tables in the very crowded restaurant to make sure a little boy got the right toy. His face was so bright when you walked away. I just moved back from Vegas and we had no Chik-Fil-a out there. Needless to say, I missed this food. However, the reason I'm writing this review is because of the staff. They were amazing. I work in restaurants for a living and have seen 5-star places with worse service. Everyone was smiling, helpful, and attentive. I was very impressed. I wish I had gotten the name of the lady who got my refill (she came around and asked me. I didn't have to leave my seat) and helped a family with a booster seat, but I didn't think of it til it was too late. I might go back to find her, just so she can get her own review.
