Sticks Kebob Shop — Restaurant in Virginia

I’ve been here several times and the owner is always tolerably rude and I do usually come late for them. They close at 8 oddly enough. Well I’ve called multiple times after 7:30 l, I’ve brought friends who were not impressed but I thought the food was good just expensive. Well tonight I called at 7:40 and no one answered and called a few times and no answer so I was right there so I walk in and NO ONE is there. I said wow glad you’re open bc I called several times and she laughed and said they don’t answer after 7:30 and I said that’s a lie bc I call all the time after that and she said let me get the owner he comes out and says we don’t answer the phone after 7:40 and I’ve watched you call the caller ID 3 times 😳 so I was so surprised the owner is here and instructed employees not to answer and at that point the cashier rolled her neck extra hard and asked what I wanted. I declined to order here and am shocked that corporate is okay with how he runs she business. I will never be back here again just due to the audacity! Business owners need to do better and I’m assuming this is why the employees are different every time...

The First Day in Richmond, VA felt like I've landed in a deserted island. Coming from NJ, I was spoilt for choice and here, I felt I had none.Especially, with no friends around, I was bored to death and experimenting with Indian Eateries was the last thing I would do at Richmond. Never expected I would find a place out of blue and fall in love with the simple food served here, that packs a punch. Searching for Afghani Food (based on inputs given by my Afghani Uber Gentleman), I landed at an amazing Mediterranean Restaurant Sticks Willow Lawn. This is a place, I would not mind going again and again.

Kibeeh Kebab - Perfectly spiced lamb kebabs with loads of Pine Nuts. The rich aromatic flavors are perfectly accompanied with the nutty flavor of the Pine Nuts.

Rosemary Rubbed Leg of Lamb - Boti Kebab gets an international treatment. Love the melt in the mouth tender pieces of lamb, packed with a hard hitting punch of flavors.

My husband and I went tonight for our first time. I ordered the falafel sandwich and my husband ordered the 'house' kebob platter with a side of onion rings. We planned to split the onion rings as his platter also included rice and pita. We were disappointed when there was a total of 5 onion rings. That is it. He said his meal was pretty good, but needed more flavor.

I ordered the falafel sandwich. The pita bread it was on was delicious and the texture of the falafel was good (as others I have tried tend to be dry) but there was an awful after taste. I don't know how else to describe it except for what I told my husband- which was it tasted that the cook put some of his own waste in it. I don't know if it was some odd spice they used or what but I couldn't finish my sandwich. I have had other falafels and have never experienced this very odd and disgusting after taste.
