UPDATE: I hate having to update reviews of places and give them lower scores, but you can thank staff for that. I had enjoyed it so much, I went back to Parallel around 2:10 PM on Saturday, August 3. The hostess at the front desk was pretty cold, and proceeded to make us wait for a table for quite a while as she did something. No “I’m sorry, I’ll get to you soon.” There were many empty tables with table settings, the place was not busy. She didn’t call anyone. She just made us stand there. Then, without apologizing, she took us to our table. It was weird. Our waitress was absolutely lovely, but this hostess left a bad taste in my mouth ***** SERVICE: I really enjoyed this place, staff was lovely, they have really nice kids as waiters, and they were happy to answer questions. **Update from 8/3** our waitress was a brunette, and I’m sorry I didn’t get her name because she was absolutely wonderful, and so accommodating.*** Also, my food was delicious. APPETIZERS: The wedge salad was surprisingly flavorful. I got the deviled eggs and bacon lollipops. The deviled eggs were OK, I feel like they weren’t that interesting, but the bacon lollipops were delicious and tender. I think maybe they expect you to eat the eggs and bacon together, and that would definitely compensate for the lack of flavor in the eggs. MAIN: I got the pork belly Eggs Benedict and that was wonderful! I do wish that had better timed our food coming out. We were still eating when the Main course arrived. They had told us when it was coming, so we said, “OK,” as I didn’t really feel like we had a choice. My Benedict sat there for a while, and by the time I started eating it, it was a bit cold, sadly. That was the only bummer. My friend got some type of egg dish, I can’t remember what it was, but she liked it. ***Update from 8/3** I LOVE eggs Benedict so I got the salmon Benedict dish, I’ve had it in so many restaurants, and my oh my, was this a surprising disappointment! The salmon was overcooked, and super salty. Either give people regular salmon that’s cooked, or give them raw salmon. Cooking smoked salmon was a very unwelcome surprise. SOOOO salty! The fried pickles were delicious. They were juicy, and crunchy, the outside was nice and crispy, and there was a creamy cool sauce that really just balanced everything out. So good!.**** DRINK: Not bottomless, but they have a good deal with the flights of mimosas or other drinks. I got the bourbon mimosas. I didn’t love the blueberry, but the other two flavors were great. I would definitely be back. Just fix your timing with how Food comes out, guys! 🩷 8/3** and tell the hostess to fix her attitude. She’s the first person people encounter.

We tried Parallel Wine & Whiskey Bar for the first time Sat night and it was wonderful! Live music was talented both the singer and the band! The food was very good. We loved all of it but especially the smash burger. The sliders were awesome and so were the wings. Also I hate kale but that fried kale was so delicious. Also those fried pickles. I added them into my burger sliders and it was super yum. We will be back soon we loved the food. Just wish the waitress told us the kitchen was closing so we could have ordered dessert before it was too late. She told us she "spaced" when I asked if she knew the kitchen was closing why she didn't ask us if we wanted anything else. Overall great service and we will be returning! UPDATE: After having that wonderful dinner there we decided to come back the next weekend. We got there at about 9:30pm. Ordered drinks and appetizers and then ordered our main meal. After about 15 minutes our waitress came back and said "sorry the kitchen is closed". Normally the kitchen tells us before they close but they didn't today and im sorry but I can't put the order in. We were very surprised. And then we asked about the hours on the website saying 12. And she replied with they close whenever business is slow that can be anytime. We were surprised. Then the waitress said she would see if the kitchen on the other side would be willing to make us what we wanted for dinner. Luckily she was able to get them to make us our food. But seriously that was a terrible experience, we could see how stressed the waitress was and we were so disappointed. Please communicate better. We will not be returning.

This is such a great spot for a casual get together, happy hour, or a date night. I believe they have two different entrances, once for where the whiskey tasting/room is and other for wine/dining (I could be wrong...). Vikki was our server, she was super attentive and kept coming by to see if we were ready to order or needed anything else. We ordered a couple drinks and some food to share. They were reasonably priced and tasted great. We asked for burger to be cut in half, and they did...even split the fries, which was perfect! When ordering the wine, I asked Vikki for a recommendation based on my favorite reds and she brought me a sample. Once I finally looked at the wine list, I asked for a sample of the Cigar wine and she brought that as well. Drinks ordered: -Avia Pinot Grigio ($6) -Cigar Bourbon Barrel Cabernet ($10) -Dealer's choice mocktail drink ($8). Food ordered: -Double Parallel Smash Burger (no bacon jam, w/duck fat fries) ($18) -Burrata Bruschetta & Red Pepper Hummus ($14) I would definitely return and want to try the other side. I do think this place is worthy of 5 stars, but knocked off one because the live music was just too loud for such a small space. Also, while the minimal lighting set the mood, it was a bit too dark.

Typically, I don't write reviews but I am forced to write a review tonight. I have been to Parallel wines couple of times and had a good experience before so I don't think there is a systemic problem. So tonight, I met a friend there and within 20 minutes of ordering, waitress on the next table drops a mega load of dirty dishes, it falls on the floor and it splatters all over my shirt. I understand accidents happen and I was calm all through. This girl doesn't say anything and disappears for a while I am trying to figure out how much gunk is on my clothes. 10 minutes later, another waiter offers me a wet napkin but there is no way I can reach the back of my shirt. At this point I was getting ready to leave because not only I realize that my shirt is ruined and I can't sit like that in a restaurant, nobody has actually decently apologized to me. At this point, a kinder waitress appeared who showed some empathy and offered to get me a parallel wine T-shirt. I took her offer and asked for a change of table. At this point, I was appalled when they told that they would have accommodated my change of table request if I had a reservation with them. However, 5 minutes later they did change our table. A manager came to our table and apologized later, however the damage was already done. We finished our wine, paid the check, and left without ordering the dinner. All in all a very bad experience and I...
