Peet's Coffee — Restaurant in Virginia

This place has by far the best staff- friendly, customer service oriented, great vibes all around, professional, and they make delicious drinks! Not only does the staff always make me feel like a VIP but they also make my dog feel like a VIP- or VID. s. I work remote and long hours and some days I am so tired I say my order wrong and they always so kindly ask if I meant to say something else- and they are always right. They take pride in remembering their customers names and regular orders and they take pride in providing the best customer service. I have been there so many times that you would think I would experience one bad day or one bad customer experience and I legitimately can say that I have NEVER had one bad experience, or a bad drink. It is my favorite coffee shop to go to and has the best people working there that provide the perfect atmosphere. I give five stars to all of the staff at this location and five stars to the drinks and pupcups! Phenomenal job Peet’s! Not from around here but found this little coffee place coffee smelt great so I went ahead ordered than sit down to wait for my drink. 2 customers came in for mobile orders the 2 customers before me got their drinks soon after them the guy behind me got his drink I waited a few minutes maybe he just got a black coffee anyway so I asked the employee that was standing where the drinks are passed out at about my drink. He checks the screen sees that it was ordered but nothing was back there so he came out and checked the mobile order station and picked up a unlabeled cup and said it must be mine. First they have the mobile order drinks just at the station the last last who picked up her order had multiple drinks so she was picking up each drink to examine and find hers. Second the cup he picked up didn't have any type of lable or markings so how was I supposed to know let alone how does he know when he didn't make the drink a girl who left for break did. So I asked if I could just get another one made so I know I'm getting the drink I paid for and he told me no because that looked like the only drink not accounted for. I went back to the register and got my money back instead. I was the only customer left in there and they was just standing around talking so I felt that was...

I will go out of my way for this coffee IF I can't find a highly -rated local shop. Sometimes, though, I wish I would have skipped the local joint and just hit Peet's.

This is all about the coffee. I'm simple - give me a cold brew with cream, light on the ice. I want to taste the coffee.

What you get at Peet's is a coffee worth tasting. The flavor doesn't need to be masked with sugar or syrups. Honestly, I could probably take it without the cream because their coffee, with a consistent nutty flavor, is so smooth but I really do enjoy having the cream in there.

I've had the food. It's good. I'll typically get a croissant with my coffee. The sandwiches are also good. The menu isn't very large but they have something for everyone. It's not about the food - it's about the coffee.

The service is always good, sometimes better. The one barista at the one location I frequent has my coffee ready for me before I hit the checkout to order. They always seem staffed well enough to keep up with the orders. However, again, it's about the coffee, not 100 different variations of coffee to mask the burnt taste you get from other coffee chains.
