Pollo Campero — Restaurant in Virginia

I ordered curbside pick up. I received an email with instructions on how to notify the restaurant staff that i was in the parking lot. When i got there it was pretty difficult to find parking. This restaurant in specific has limited parking spots. The ones for curbside were taken by people who where either inside the restaurant or at the business next to it. I pressed the “i’m here” option on the email i received. 10 minutes passed no one was coming out. I called the number on the web site and it directed me to customer service. They couldn’t transfer me to the local restaurant they gave me the number i wrote it and called and told them i was there. 5 minutes later someone came out with my order. The chicken was cold, the fries were extremely dry and overfried. To top it off, i didn’t get a complete order. I was missing a piece of chicken and the campero beans were at half way of the container. Really, bad experience. I love the chicken but today just wasn’t what i paid for...

Not only the food that is good but also the price, service and the people who work there are very nice and makes you feel welcomed. I hope the food quality and the service dosnet change. They are generous and makes you feel like a guest and family. One thing I noticed that employees have power to solve problems and find solutions to keep customer satisfied. Unlike other restaurants employees feel powerless and there is nothing in their hands they can do to make customers satisfied.

I ordered a chicken sandwich, while I was waiting I was offered a drink because it took longer for the sandwich to be ready. I was happy and I felt heard and acknowledged and loved. It is hard these days to find restaurants that work this way and care about their customers.

This is the values of hospitality that I admire and makes it one of my favorite restaurants.

Just visiting from another state and my husband pulled up this restaurant for lunch online. So many people were coming in and out of this Spanish restaurant so we thought that this must be a really good restaurant. When we walked inside the place was very dark and gloomy with large tables to sit and eat. The menu was very limited as far as choices. The food was very pricey for a quick bite to eat. I ordered the chicken bowl that was so disappointing I refused to eat it. My husband ordered 3 pieces of chicken and he was also very disappointed. We paid $50 for lunch and we couldn't wait to get out-of there. Staff friendly. Place clean. Speaks mostly Spanish and people were leaving happy with large...
