The food was pretty decent. I, however, was very disappointed with the service. Our waitress was very nice and friendly. But she left us for very long periods of time sitting at our table. I had to ask her multiple times for my son's milk along with asking her multiple times for my cup of coffee. The food took a bit to come out but I think they had several parties all at once before we arrived. She served us water upon arrival. When the water ran out we never did get anymore. I'm sure I could have asked but that is a pretty basic 101 wait staff kind of stuff! And honestly after a while it gets rather tiring to continue to ask and ask for things when you are a guest. Especially since the water was all that my daughter had to drink. I had the water and the coffee. But the water cups were empty for the duration of the meal after arrival. Then we waited about 15 minutes for 2 scoops of ice cream for my children. My son ordered vanilla which came out fine. My daughter ordered vanilla with whipped cream she was served chocolate with whipped cream! It wasn't just one thing. Then 10 minutes later after their scoops of ice cream we had to ask for the check. She was quick to come back to collect on that though! We paid cash because we didn't want to be held up any further. It wasn't busy when we got here at all. There were plenty of open tables. Our lunch took us almost 2 hours! Both of my children ordered butter noodles and I had one of the specials which was an open face roast beef sandwich. Unfortunately because the service was so slow I am sure we will not be returning. Like I mentioned the food was decent but when the service is that poor it makes the food and the whole experience less appetizing. Maybe we caught the kitchen and the waitress on an off day. I hope and pray that anyone reading this will have a better experience. As for us, unfortunately we will not...
Read moreThis is an excellent restaurant. Everyday they have a daily soup. I've had Italian wedding soup, chicken corn chowder, vegetable beef soup, pasta fazol, clam chowder, sausage tortellini, beef chilli, and others Each of them were great depends on what you like but I thought to me the best one was the sausage tortellini had lots of sausage, pasta and a really good broth. Very reasonable now for a bowl compared to other places only $5 for a bowl of soup and the soup is excellent. With inflation now, McDonald's has gotten so expensive that a sit-down restaurant is about the same or less and you get much better quality. Their dinner rolls that you get with entrees are excellent. I've also had the chicken marsala which is excellent as well as the barbecue chicken wings with blue cheese which were really good. The service has always been great. I went there with a group from the YMCA and the service was great there as well. I had an Italian steak sandwich and it wasn't as good but it was ok. I plan on going back for more soup. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Also, I had an Italian salad with ranch dressing and the ranch dressing was freshly made. This wasn't The only time I've been there I've been there numerous times to try all these dishes. I've mentioned. One of their waitresses is Fernanda and we also liked Michelle but their other waitresses and wait staff are great as well Their fried mozzarella sticks are very good as well as the...
Read moreDecided to try this place out on a whim. Although the staff was pleasant and friendly the food was lacking on every level. We ordered the Penne Pasta with Pesto and grilled chicken. The penne was standard box pasta, as to be expected but the pesto also tasted jarred and had no distinct flavor of basil, garlic or parmesean. The chicken although plentiful was definitely not grilled, at the sight I thought maybe it was sauteed, as it was in chunks, but after tasting it, it had a very dry and rubbery consistency of being microwaved or reheated in there, which made it inedible. It lacked any seasoning and/or salt . At a price of about $18 with tax (included salad and bread) it certainly was not worth the money. The portion was also very small for the price. Considering the low cost of pasta, you would think they would have given you a larger container of it, as there was certainly enough meat to double the amount of pasta. The salad was standard fare (decent) and the bread, again lacked any distinct flavor. Coming from a area (NJ/NY) with excellent authentic Italian restaurants, my expectation weren't too high, but this was highly...
