Subway — Restaurant in Virginia

If I could give it a zero I would. Where to start.... When I first arrived, there were used, dirty, white papers for the subs on the counter and only one worker behind the counter (corporate procedure mandates that a manager is to always be on duty to supervise the workers). When I told him my bread choice, he put it straight on the used paper. He was perturbed I even asked for a clean white paper. I told him my meat selections and he put two slices on the opposite ends of a footlong; which isn't standard procedure. The cheese was quite literally sprinkled and I had to ask for more. He tossed the other dirty white paper in the floor behind him while pushing my sub up to the veggie area. It was then that I noticed his glove was broken and he had been making my sub the entire time with his bare fingers (and getting ingredients out of the compartments with them). Gross as heck! Then he rings up my order, tosses the old receipts in the floor behind him, and starts helping another person immediately. He didn't even ask if I wanted a receipt. Truth be told I threw the sub away because I was too afraid to eat it. I'm never coming back here again. There were WAY too many health code and standard corporate procedures violated within those mere 10 minutes alone. I...

Stingy with their toppings. Yes this is the old Indian lady with the grown out roots that everyone else is complaining about. So anyways, I asked for cucumber on my kids sandwich and she gave me 1 cucumber on a 4” sub. ONE CUCUMBER ON THE ENTIRE SUB 🥒 Each time I asked for more, she would add one at a time, and I would say “more please” until I had 5-6 total. Ridiculous. When it came to my sandwich, I had to ask for MORE for every topping until they got mad at me and told me that I was at the limit for toppings! I was unaware there was a limit??? I told her I was fine with paying more if I actually got what I was asking for. Spoiler alert, they couldn’t charge for extra toppings bcuz there is no such thing! The attitude she gave was like I was committing a crime!! It’s not like she gets paid extra for saving toppings, right? STINGY!!! They were also reusing the paper lining (passing from one sandwich to the other) which imo is weird. The place isn’t that bad in theory but I think she needs someone to reminder her that as a service worker it’s her job to do as the customer asks and fill the sandwich up!!! I purchased a sandwich as I was out on the road and needed to eat something quick. I am a very observing person & really careful when it comes to the handling of my food. The attendant did the food and then accepted cash with the same gloves. He then proceeded with the same gloves shortly after when new customers came in to fix their sandwiches. That is 🤢 nasty.
