I have been coming here often. Sometimes 3 times a week, I have spoken with managers on duty, the manager. and even the regional manager, something needs to definitely change.
I have experienced just about everything at this restaurant. This includes cold food, incorrect food, attitudes from certain employees, being ignored by waitresses, a bar tender who has an attitude towards me (Andrea), a bartender (Troy) who I guess thinks everyone is his brother (and this person does not understand that he represents BWW), a 45 minute wait for French fries, and unable to order certain items because the restaurant ran out of a particular ingredient.
I totally understand if it happens once in a while but damn it's about every week that something is going on.
One day it's tomatoes for the pico ( happened twice), aother day it's tortilla chips. Common are you serious. It's either the A. The manager who does the ordering is not competent enough to do his or her job, B. isn't trained to do it, C. does not know the Charlottesville market, or D. Is just plain stupid (I'm sorry I really have to say this on many reasons). I'm just waiting for the day that this place says āoh we have no beer or boneless wingsā.
So it has come to me asking the bartender or waitress working to please check and see if there is something I cannot order due to my previous experiences of the restaurant running out of tomatoes or another item.
I asked this to Andrea one Saturday night (working at the bar) I received the worst look and statement that says "Ya know how the restaurant is. We can have it one day but not another day" then walks away. Wow. I really didn't expect that answer. So I paid my bill which was 1 drink and walked out to speak with the manager, Joe, and this did not help
I came back a week later and she was working with Troy and both of them ignoring me the entire time (thank god for Abby she took really good care of myself and my daughter).
This has happened over months and finally last night (again on a Saturday night) was the worst. I was completely ignored by Troy and Andrea while I sat at the bar. I had to personally say thank you to another bar tender (Abby) for working when she walked in because I was getting ignored sitting at the bar.
So this is the new BWW experience that you will receive. It will not be like the recent commercial about March madness it will be a place that you will get ignored, unable to order something you want from the menu, pray that the food is correct, doesnāt take a long time to get, and finally hoping that the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWell, this was an interesting experience. I have eaten at BWW many times in the past, but never seen one as disorganized as this. There was a small wait when we arrived, about 10 minutes...for a 1/2 empty restaurant (This should have clued us in to what was to come). Now, its 6 PM, just shortly after the summer solstice, and its bright and sunny. The greeter leads to to an empty section, with multiple tables and booths available. Decides the best place for us is at a table fully in the sun. Since I did not bring my sunglasses into the restaurant, we politely asked to sit in the shade. The greeter seemed slightly confused at this request, but gave us a booth outside of the suns reach none the less. Our server arrived and took our drink orders. My wife asked for a draft bud light. "Tall?" the server asked. I said, yes bring her a tall and I will have a tall blue moon. Shortly after, our drinks arrived. 2 tall buds, and a blue moon. Apparently I confused her. Now, its time to order our food. We decided to get wings for the appetizer and a couple of sandwiches (Alot of food, but I needed something for lunch tomorrow). I specifically requested that the wings be brought out first. The server confirmed this, and the confirmed my side of chips and salsa with my sandwich. Woot. Good to go now. About 10 minutes later, she came back to check on us and told us the food would be out shortly. She was totally correct there!! She no more got the words out of her mouth and some food arrived.
The sandwiches.
With Fries. Blah.
The server apologized profusely and went to find our wings. By the time she found them and came back, we were done the sandwiches. So she cleared our plates, and left the wings.
Literally, just the wings. No napkins, no utensils (not that you need them for wings), no plates, no place to put the bones. Just a plate of wings and some blue cheese. Lonely. On my table. After securing some paper plates, we did enjoy the wings.
All this fun for $55. I mean, heck, what else do I have to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe were a party of 5 on opening night. Some issues were definitely due to it being opening night, which I understand, but some were more customer service issues, so that is what I am focusing on.
We were told there would be a 20-25 minute wait but we actually were sat in about 10 minutes which turned out to be unhelpful because there wasn't a server to help us. A manager came over to let us know he would find a server for us and he did. We got our drinks after about 15 minutes of sitting, but it was pretty quickly after the server finally came over.
One person ordered a milk shake that was on the menu, but that they didn't have the ingredients for, which caused a delay in ordering our food since the server didn't ask us if we were ready to order when she came back to our table the first time.
I got everyone's order to make things go quicker and one order was incorrect. When I told the server what I had ordered, she told me I was wrong! Again, I spoke to every one about their order and I know EXACTLY what I ordered and I know that she got it wrong. Regardless of who was right, what she was saying I ordered still was not the order we received, which I pointed out. She said she would let the manager know and I watched her let the manager know since he was only one table away from us. He didn't even acknowledge us, which I thought was poor customer service. She left and came back and said the Kitchen got it wrong and that our correct order would be out soon. Another order came out about 15-20 minutes later (everyone else was done eating by then), and it was still wrong. For a party of 5, we were there for over 2 hours all together due to all of the mishaps. I understand it is to be expected on opening night, but again, there is no excuse for poor (but not horrible) customer service.
We are looking forward to having a nice place in the area that is open late, so they will have another chance to make it right. The food was good and the beer was cold so...
