Subway — Restaurant in Virginia

I was traveling from Vermont to my home in South Carolina, with my family, after the Thanksgiving holiday. Approximately 8 hours in to our drive home, we decided to search out a Subway restaurant, along our rout, for dinner. I found a Subway, on my Google maps, located at the exit we were approaching. The gps showed 1.5 miles to the restaurant from the Freeway Google maps showed tbat is Subway closing at 9pm. It was 8:35 pm when we exited the highway, so we felt that we had plenty of time to make it there before we closed.

We pulled into the Subway parking lot at 8:42pm. We could see all the lights were on, including a young woman inside the store, with a Subway uniform on, standing behind the counter staring at us as we walked up. (It should be noted that this was a Saturday night, and according to the sign in the front door, the normal closing hours on a Saturday are at 10 pm. Due to Covid 19c the sign stated they closed at 10 pm). We walked up to the doors, and when we tried to open the door.s, but they were locked) when we attempted to open the doors, at 9:47 pm....not only were the doors locked, but the woman standing behind the counter stood there watching us, and after a few minutes, she turned around and turned off all the lights inside the shop.

This was extremely frustrating! Not only did we seek Subway out specifically, but when we arrived, they should have still been open. I believe the woman was trying to get out early, and when she saw us pull up close to her closing time, she locked the doors, to assist in getting out early.

I love my local Subway in SC, but I would not recommend wasting your time stopping...

I would not recommend subs from this Subway. The employees are unbelievably slow, somewhat rude, and the store is not very clean. When you try to get around waiting for 30+ minutes in line by placing an order through the app, they get most everything about your order wrong. You want it toasted? It will not be. You want less mayo? The sub will be covered in it. I would go down the street to Bellacino's or up the hill to Dominoes for a...

No customer service, stopped to get $6.99 sub combo for dinner tonight and was told must order on the app. tried to do app for next 10-15 minutes no luck and no help from the 3 employees behind the counter. Employee where no help and one just laughed that we could not figure the app out. Saw only one other customer in store during this time and they walked out. Would not return to this location or recommend...
