Wawa — Restaurant in Virginia

I love Wawa in general, it's a wonderful place with good cheap coffee drinks and everything you'd expect from a convenience store. Unfortunately, this wawa is run by a gang of ignorant children with no common sense whatsoever. I'm a 46 year old man who smoked for 30 years before finally switching over to vaping. I was in a situation where i had moved from out of state and had not received my new license from the state yet, and I tried to purchase my vape cartridges here and was asked for my id, i gave her my expired id and she refused to accept it, ishowed her the paper from the dmv, my social security card, it didn't matter, she was adamant that I was a high schooler in full old man makeup trying to get one over on her! My son, wife, and I ran into Wawa at 630 this am because our son had a game this morning. We always visit this location since we live near by. Their customer service is always great, but this morning was exceptional. I believe the person who went out of their way to help us was Nykiah(totally could be wrong, front service associate told me, but was not sure how it was spelled.). They saw my son searching for his breakfast sandwich he always gets before early games and they came over and asked what he was looking for. When they realized he was looking for something that was not out there they went and made two for him in the back, brought to him, and told him good luck at his game. Thank you so much for that. The food is good and all but this interaction I had with a cashier I didn’t feel welcome here. Coming from Colorado I was interrogated by a guy in his late teens that looked like a mix of Steph Curry and Michael Cera, drilling me about why the scan doesn’t work on my license. How am I suppose to know why. Then he called in his manager and the manager she said it was ok. If he is new then he needs to be retrained on customer service and how not to make a customer feel unwelcomed. If he’s been there awhile then it is a reflection on this business.
