I rarely update or change ratings unless I'm giving a place a 2nd chance to improve a rating however, in this scenario I'm downgrading what was a 3 star rating. I work in the area and used to frequent this location at least once every 2 weeks. The lower rating wasn't necessarily due to food quality as I like Wendy's fast food over most other options in terms of quality. I've always been of the opinion that they have the best burger in the business for a fast food chain. This location has been steadily regressing for some time. Customer service has taken a dive along with quality control. The other day myself alongside a co-worker came in around 11 to beat the lunch rush as it can generally get pretty busy after noon. I got to listen to the front of house associate talk on the landline for about 7mins or so just carrying on a clearly evident personal call. Granted we all have our bad days and want to be in a bubble from time to time but I don't think when she's been running the register there's ever been a time when she could be bothered to pay attention to you or be remotely pleasant. I ordered the 2 for 5 and got a Dave's single and spicy chicken sandwich. There used to be a great gentlemen who worked the line that I'd frequently talk to because of my frequency of visiting that was just amazing to talk to and really cared about the quality of the product leaving the line. I don't believe he's there any longer and it unfortunately shows. The sandwich was frozen cold and the bun half ripped apart when I opened it. The chicken sandwich was clearly overcooked to the point of the breading falling apart and made it completely inedible which is extremely disappointing because normally I eat 1 and take the other for later but on this occassion ate nothing. The dining room had clearly not been cleaned since the morning or the tables wiped. Overall this was just very disheartening because when I have a hankering for a solid burger this is my quick go to so I can get back to work at a reasonable time without long travel away from the office.    Read moreI understand: there is nothing glamorous about working in a fast food chain. I don't expect Michelin-level service, with enthusiasm and perfect. I don't even care if you ignore my casual pleasantries. But we have visited this Wendy's location a few times over the past few years thinking "maybe this time will be better" and still receive the same poor service. There is consistently an extended wait for acknowledgement at both the drive through and the counter (I've sat long enough before to wonder if they were still open - upwards of seven to ten minutes), staff is invariably curt and seemingly overwhelmed at any time of the day, there always seems to be disorganization and lack of direction over who is assigned to which station in the kitchen, and I genuinely hope no one desires modifications, considering the number of times I've had to come back through to simply get the items I've paid for.

   Read moreI wish that I was able to give zero stars however the system does not allow. Please, I repeat please DO NOT eat at this establishment. I know when Dave came up with the idea of starting Wendy's this is not what he had on mind. Upon entrance there is a horrible smell, I should have turned around and left right then. The sanitary practices at this location is substandard. The employees need to be retrained, you can't scratch your face, your hair, your body, sweep the floor and walk over to serve food and not wash your hands. If its slow and you cook meat 5 hours ago that should be discarded at a certain time and not be served to customers. As a mother I made a terrible mistake by stopping at this location to get food for my family. The only fast food that we eat is chik fil a (all locations are consistent) and sometimes cookout (i can only speak for the new location in short pump). We do not eat at Wendy's or the others which I will not mention. The one time in years that I decided to do so, my children got sick. They were in the bathroom non stop.
