First time I visited last year I had a great experience and had such a nice server but when I went today it definitely made me decide never to come back. For starters let me just say as someone who’s a server and has worked in customer service for the last 5 years ,I’m very understanding when I get a server/cashier who isn’t the most friendly because I get how it is to have a bad stressful day. (As long as you’re still respectful to people who are being nice to you) Our server from the beginning seemed way too overwhelmed and we were his only table for the first 30 minutes of us being there. (We were a 2 top) . Everytime we had a question he was either •walking away while responding or •walked away completely (without a word) after we asked then came back to respond. He also was speaking way to fast to be able to understand him so when my mom didn’t hear him say “give me a moment” it caught us off guard when he repeated it back with a harsher tone and by putting his finger up. I’m not sure if he was stressed because of a back of house issue but that’s definitely something management should be handling not the server who’s main focus should be the guest’s experience. Once a bigger table came in (about 3-4 guests) he just completely ignored our table. We cleaned the table up to show we were finished and I waited patiently for him to at least walk by so I could ask for a to go box but after 15-20 minutes i decided to just go to the front to ask for one and see how we were suppose to get our bill. My experience with the food wasn’t too great either. My mom’s plate came out before mine, she didn’t have any issues with her meal and she said they tasted great. Mine came out about 6-8 minutes later despite the plate being warm to the touch ,the food was completely cold. I was already not having a great experience and didn’t want to wait to get it reheated so I ate 2 and just decided I’d take it to go and reheat it at home. The sauce itself didn’t have as much flavor as I had hoped and the beans were pretty watery but I’m hungry and not one to waste food so honestly I’ll just fix it up at home. I’m sure it’ll taste better heated up. I’ve been told the food here is great so if I were to come back I’d only do it for the food . When I came last year I had the quesobirria and it was delicious. Final price was $32.96 for 2 plates and 3 drinks. (Also the air vents were disgustingly full of dust and there was a bunch of water damage to...
Read moreI went to have lunch with my mother and baby brother and we were prejudged as soon as we walked in treated like we were incompetent, and like we knew absolutely nothing of traditional Mexican cuisine. I come from a blended family of Mexican and Irish. They charged us 60 cents for a cup of ICE WATER. When my mother ordered a large guacamole it barely had any avocado and was full of tomatoes and onions, considering it was half full when we were told it would be a full bowl! This gave the impression they were trying to cheat us out of avocado at a almost 7 dollar charge. We sent it back, even though they gave us a full bowl of avocado we were told that was the way authentic guacamole was made, preassuming that we did not know what guacamole was. Although the complaint was the lack of avocado. On the menus provided my mothers huevos rancheros plate was listed for $9.99 and she was charged $10.39 this shows that they are jacking up prices even though at most places breakfast plates are typically lower cost than lunch and dinner plates. To top it off they gave her any silverware and left her coffee cup empty, and the beans tasted as though they were from a can unlike the authentic food they are advertising! And as a side note there flour tortillas get hard and seemed to be made with cheap ingredients. For my mother and myself at this little Mexican restaurant our total bill was $62 dollars!! For that price we could have gone to a steak house and had a lesser bill. We will never go back to this place again it seems as though along with bad service this place is taking advantage of the economy. Vist at your own risk as you might leave with a very steep bill with correct prices not advertised on...
Read moreEverything here is delicious. Came in with family for breakfast, we ordered: A burrito with egg in salsa verde, sausage and beans. The flour tortilla tasted handmade and it was all delicious. The whole burrito was huge. 1-1-1 pancake, over easy egg and bacon strip. The pancake was awesome and flavorful, the over easy egg was perfectly cooked crispy on the outside and runny yolk, bacon strip was huge and perfectly crispy. Migas. Hands down the BEST migas I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Made with yummy crispy tortillas (not yucky chips thrown in at the end)- don’t skimp out in the jalapeños- you won’t regret it! Limonada fresca- obviously homemade made with REAL limes and sugar. It’s $5 for a large cup but SO worth it. Great portions, great service, clean establishment. Will be returning every single time we...
