Taqueria Mexicano Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Waco

Probably my favorite taqueria to visit. I would of rated it 5 stars except the last time we visited they took forever to bring our food out. My food was brought out first. 5 minutes later my son's food was brought out and then another 5 minutes after that my husband's was brought out. We've eaten here several times and they've never done anything like this. No restaurant brings people's food out one at a time with that much time between. Then I noticed after I got home, my food was incorrect. I ordered the tres amigos plate. This is my 2nd time ordering this plate from here. It's A tostada, a taco and quesadilla. Your choice of chicken or beef. I chose beef. My tostada only had beans on it with the toppings, no beef. The first time I ordered it, it was beans, beef and the toppings because I remember it being so heavy I couldn't lift it to eat it cause it was filled with beef and toppings it...

I have been going to this restaurant quite frequently as much as three times a week. While their food is ok it's their pricing that is the biggest problem. As an example today I had chicken fajitas which are priced at 12.99. When I got my bill I was charged 14.99 which was the stated price for beef fajitas. When I brought it to their attention that I was overcharged I was told that the 12.99 stated on the menu was a special price that they were in fact 14.99. Nowhere did it say on the menu that it was a special price. I have also caught them charging extra for items that the menu says come with the dish and being charged extra for a second item on a taco that comes with two items. It's difficult to give five stars because most restaurants can't meet the mark on every platform. There's something to be said about food quality versus service and distinguishing itself from ambience but this place was exceptional. We love that when you walk in you're greeted right away and allowed to sit wherever you so choose. Quick staff meant drink orders were taken promptly and menus with time to look over. Chips and salsa were quick to follow. (Ask for the green salsa for a kick) I opted for the guacamole live and was not disappointed definitely a generous portion.
