Asian Garden — Restaurant in Wake Forest

I've been frequenting this restaurant for years and have noticed a decline in customer service. Today will be my last time patronizing. I ordered black pepper chicken and specifically told the cashier to make sure my food had enough sauce on it because it has been dry in the past. When I got my food, it barely had any sauce on it. When I showed it to her, she proceeded to tell me, no it does. Then she had audacity to put her hand over my tray as she leaned it over to allow the little bit of sauce to pool in one corner. I told her I didn't want it after she touched my food. She then says I can charge you for a container of sauce. I tell her that I don't need all that sauce just the amount you give for dine in orders and I'm not going to eat it after you touched it. (She was sitting in dining room eating her food right before.) She continues on until I just tell her to please cancel my order. Customer service is key! 1st- if she had an issue with giving me the amount of sauce as with dine in orders, tell me up front. If it was going to be an extra charge, tell me up front. Then, don't put your hands all over customer's food, especially before you wash your hands. Health...

I like their food, but the staff clearly needs to improve, one girl started to wait on our table, and she would be on her cellphone all the time meanwhile she would forget the stuff we asked her and act annoyed when we asked for it again. Halfway through our meals after finally getting everything we needed, she stopped waiting our table and the cashier guy came to take care of it, we finished our meals, there was nobody else there, he didn’t came to ask if we needed refills, didn’t got any of the dirty plate from the table or asked if we wanted to order anything else or needed a box. So when we finally got his attention we told him that we were not trying to be rude but that was not really pleasant to seat around dirty dishes and talk, so instead of just saying something nice or apologizing he just tells us that WE are rude and discussed with us. We love to support local businesses, and I myself have worked as a waitress for a long time while I was a teenager too, but the staff was very disrespectful to me, to the older people at the table, and not prepared for the job. Food is good but customer service is lacking. They are always short on the phone. I ordered a lunch entree for take out with no rice extra vegetables.Their 'fried rice' is not fried, it's just yellow and not good at all. I told the lady twice over the phone, no rice extra vegetables. I pay for my order and when they bring it to me, there were no extra vegetables. I question why there are no extra veggies. They explain they can't do that and if I want extra veggies I have to order the dinner portion which is twice as much and, wait for it, still comes with rice, which I don't want. They should have told me when I placed the order they couldn't accommodate or they could have charged a small upcharge which I would have happily paid in order to get what I ordered. I asked the manager if losing a customer was worth a few extra veggies. Then to top it all off, when I take the last bite of the chicken I find a piece of metal wire.
