A brand new Mexican restaurant working out the kinks, expected to get their liquor license in a week or so. Very attentive & prompt service, quick delivery of meals to the table. Waiter and the manager/owner(?) checked on how we liked the food & was everything to our expectations. . We had the chicken nachos(large portions), chicken empanadas, tacos al pastoré, homemade hot sauce(definitely give this a try-spicy and very tasteful, not just spicy hot for hotness sake-but you'll need to decide). A slice of tres leches with a thin layer of meringue on top, big enough for two, topped off the overall excellent experience. We'll be back for a margarita with our meals. I've been there twice. First was for dine in service not long after that opened. Food and service were fantastic. About a week ago, my wife stopped there and we ventured into take out. We have had really bad experiences with Mexican takeout. The places are 10 to 15 minutes from home and usually everything has run together and gotten lukewarm. I was delighted that Mamacita's packaged the hot and cold foods separately and that our entree was quite warm when we opened it at home. Was looking forward to trying this after hearing good things, but was quite disappointed. The name of the restaurant includes "cocktails", but they don't have a liquor license, which is one of the reasons we came. They gave about a teaspoon of sour cream for my 3 fajitas. When I asked for a little more there was resistance. It also wasn't served with shredded cheese. When I asked, they said the kitchen says it doesn't come with it and on the menu the shredded cheese description is for the refried beans. The food was bland and over priced. We...
